One of the most important, and certainly empowering, things that I have learnt from my Mistressing sessioning is to do with courage.
No … not about my courage … but instead about the courage of many of the people who have contacted, and subsequently, visited me over the past seven years.
Many people wrongly assume that the sort of person who wishes to visit a Female Dominatrix, is in some way abnormal or inferior to the rest of us … and by “rest of us” I mean what is always portrayed in general society as “normal people”.
But in my experience the majority of my visitors … and in the context of this post I don’t want to refer to them as “submissives” … are absolutely normal people, from absolutely normal, everyday backgrounds and walks-of-life.
And through the conversations, discussions, and of course the interactions that always occur around and throughout our meetings, it usually quite quickly becomes clear how much courage these people have needed to accept and acknowledge their desires and their wish to be a little bit “different”. Courage to be able to take that first step to discover themselves in a way that they really feel they can’t share with their immediate loved ones and family … or that would not be “acceptable” among their vocational colleagues, or organisations … because of the stigma and constraints that general society places on us all.
So during our meetings they can be, at least just for the two or three hours of our time together, who they really want to be. To release themselves from the “norms of the everyday” whilst recognising the need that we must all return to and uphold those norms so that others can decide their own paths, their own way, and in their own time. Naturally and equally as it should always be … for all of us.
That takes courage … and understanding … and acceptance.
