Modesty Ablaze reviews the Paloqueth Rotating Rabbit Vibrator from @paloqueth_love

Paloqueth Rotating Rabbit Vibrator 1

I’m definitely a clit-girl, but have always had an on / off relationship with Rabbit Vibrators.

On when I’m in the mood for some quick stimulation and satisfaction . . . but often just as quickly off because I can lose concentration with the twitching and tickling motions of the “ears” over my clit. I much prefer slow and building pressure, rather than constant tickling you see!

But following my review earlier this year of the very lovely Paloqueth Tongue Vibrator I was quite excited to receive theirRotating Rabbit Vibrator several weeks ago.

And, my first impressions of this Rabbit, when I slid it from it’s impressive black box were actually much better than I’d felt about the Paloqueth Tongue.

Paloqueth Rotating Rabbit Vibrator 2

Though still a mid shade of purple, not my favourite toy colour I must admit . . . but clearly Purple and Black are Paloqueth’s corporate colours . . . the Rabbit feels quite substantial and weighty (though not uncomfortably so) to hold in ones hand.

Made from body-safe silicone elastomer material, the body of the vibrator, and the shaft leading to it’s penis-shaped head, is lovely and silky-smooth to the touch. As are the lovely ears that sit on a rabbit-shaped protrusion half -way up the body.

Paloqueth Rotating Rabbit Vibrator 3

The base, handle part, of the vibrator has three control buttons housed in a white smooth plastic shield embedded in the grooved stem. So they are very easy to find, and operate, even with one’s eyes closed!!!

The base has slightly bevelled edges so, rather annoyingly for me, it’s not possible to stand it up on one’s bedside table, though I suppose the ear-protrusion would make it difficult to balance upright anyway. But I just seem to always naturally want to stand it up proudly on it’s end whenever I’m finished
. . . though of course I never do this with any of my other toys, so it’s clearly just my own problem!

As I say, those buttons easily control the, quite powerful, dual motors of the Rabbit. The bottom button is to power on, and off, both motors simultaneously
. . . and it works perfectly, without some of the faff and struggles I sometimes have with other vibrators.

The middle button controls the, seven different patterns of intensity of the rabbit-ears . . . and I can tell you straight away that pattern three always does it for me . . . always!

Paloqueth Rotating Rabbit Vibrator 4

The top button controls the three rotation speeds of the shaft, and head, of the Paloqueth. Now, with it’s embedded stainless steel balls, this feels interesting and quite lovely when holding, or squeezing, in the palm of ones hand.

But actually for me it is the one disappointment of the Rabbit. Paloqueth says this rotating shaft is designed to “give you that extreme internal stimulation”.

Now, as I said at the beginning, I’m a clit-girl and as such, “extreme internal stimulation” doesn’t really do it for me anyway. But even if I was craving for that stimulus I don’t think this shaft is long, or thick, enough to reach the spot for me. And I’m not trying to suggest that I’m some sort of insatiable size-queen . . .
I just think that as this part of the shaft only extends for just over four inches further “in” from where those lovely vibrating tongue-ears are flapping and lapping over my clit, that I just can’t feel it once it has slid inside. But that is possibly just my own, personal, problem . . . my “internal-design” is not of the right shape, or curvature, for the shaft to do it for me.

Paloqueth Rotating Rabbit Vibrator 5

But, my word, those ears certainly DO do-it-for-me . . . and how !!! Because, despite being remarkably quiet for such powerful and intense vibrations . . . pattern three is just wonderful!!!

So although the “rotating” of the Paloqueth Rotating Rabbit Vibrator doesn’t quite reach the spot for me . . . in every other respect, this is a wonderfully fun addition to my toy-box and one I would certainly recommend to any lady looking for a clit-tacularly lovely rabbit-vibe.

Guide to Finding the Best Dildos for Women

Getting a sex toy is one of the best ways to spice up your solo bedroom play, add some fire to your relationship or simply survive when your partner is far away on a business trip. For the inexperienced, shopping for a dildo isn’t going to be an exactly easy task. Luckily you have guides like this as one of the top resources online to help you find the perfect plaything.

Guide to finding the best dildos for women 1

There are a number of factors to consider when picking out a dildo. The ultimate goal is to find something that can bring you maximum pleasure. This means everything has to be spot on in terms of the shape, size, material and even the color and texture of the dildo. You also have to decide whether you want a vibrating dildo or not. Your choice of dildo should also be safe to use.

There is a plethora of options to choose from which presents exciting variety but at the same time might leave you confused as to which one to choose. Here’s a quick guide on the things to look out for when shopping for a dildo.

Shape

When shopping for dildos, you will find a lot of variety in terms of shapes to choose from. Generally, Curved dildos are considered the best for working the G-spot and hitting it right on. However, some women might just find the twisted contoured types better and a preferred option for them. If what you are looking for is something that feels more realistic, then a dildo sculpted to look like an actual penis should be your choice. Some of them even come complete with veins and ridges to further improve the look and feel.

Size: Girth and Length

The same way women have preferences in terms of penis size, the size of your dildo is also a major requirement in choosing the perfect one. If you pick something too small, it might not hit the spot the way you want it to, and you might not even be able to use the dildo at all if it is too large.

Again, choosing a perfectly sized dildo depends both on experience and fantasy. You might judge what would be the perfect size for you based on your previous experience with an actual penis. At the same time, it can be based on partly or entirely on fantasy. You need to consider both the length and girth of the toy you are choosing.

Guide to finding the best dildos for women 2

If you have no prior experience and you are unsure of what would be a perfect size, you can carry out a small test to verify the perfect dildo size using fruits. Find out more on how to do that here.

Another innovative way to work your way around the problem of size when using a dildo is to but an inflatable dildo which can be pumped up after insertion. That way you can still get the full fill-up feeling without having to bother so much about insertion.

Material: the flexibility of your sex toy this depends almost entirely on the material it is made of. If you want something solid and rigid, then a metal or glass dildo is the perfect choice in terms of material. Silicone dildos also offer a lot in terms of flexibility but still has a solid feel to it as well making it great for hitting the G-spot. You should consider Jelly or rubber dildos if you prefer something softer. They are also easier to insert and will require you to use less lube compared to the solid types.

However, when considering the material, flexibility isn’t the only thing that is affected. You have to consider how easy it will be to maintain and clean your dildo. A jelly dildo, for example, is harder to maintain than a glass or silicone type since it tends to be permeable to water.

The material type also determines how adaptable your dildo will be to use. Glass and metal dildos, for example, can be warmed up or cooled to add extra variety to bedroom play. A silicone dildo also warms up very quickly and adjusts to body temperature than other types of dildos.

If you want something that feels as close to the real deal as possible, then a realistic dildo is a recommended choice. Not only are they shaped to look like a real penis. But they are also made with materials such as Cyberskin which give them a feel similar to that of an actual penis. However, just like jelly, realistic dildos are also hard to clean which is a downside if you are considering buying them.

A workaround for the problem of maintaining and cleaning your dildo is to always use a condom with it anytime you use it. This will reduce how often you have to clean it up and help prolong its life.

For more about picking a sex toy as a beginner, visit http://dangerouslilly.com/2010/06/ask-lilly-choosing-a-dildo-for-beginners/

The base of the dildo: many women might not give thought to this point when purchasing their sex toy but as you might come to find out it plays a part in how convenient playing with your dildo will be. A dildo with a balled end gives you greater control over the toy and helps to attain deeper thrust. One with a suction cup at the base is a recommended choice if you intend to attach your toy to a surface to use. Lesbian couples and some straight couples looking to experiment might find a strap-on dildo the perfect choice for them. You can also look out for regular dildos that are harness compatible for this same purpose.

There is no stereotyped guide or fixed rule for choosing a dildo. At the end of the day, your choice depends largely on your personal preferences. You might not always get it right the first time, but with time and experience, you will get better at choosing a dildo on your own.

As you may have gathered, this has been a sponsored post,
but you won’t be surprised to know just how much I LOVE dildos
. . . for women AND for men! LOL !!!
So I hope you have enjoyed reading. – Xxx – K

Modesty Ablaze reviews the Paloqueth Tongue Vibrator from @paloqueth_love

Modesty Ablaze Paloqueth Tongue Vibrator 1

I really do love my Paloqueth Tongue Vibrator when, at first, I actually thought I wouldn’t.

It arrived in my postbox the day before we left London for a long-planned Christmas / New Year vacation . . .

Modesty Ablaze Paloqueth Tongue Vibrator 2

. . . and I’d just had the time to unwrap the postage-packaging and open the very impressive, hard cardboard, black presentation box.

Modesty Ablaze Paloqueth Tongue Vibrator 3

The purple vibrator was cradled nicely in a black foam interior, along with a charging cable, small instruction leaflet and a purple satin pouch. But when I lifted the Paloqueth out of the box my first reaction was that although the ridged, purple tongues, on the face of the vibrator were intriguing, they actually looked, and felt, just a little too-much like a . . . well like a “toy”.

But, I had suitcases to pack, and an early-night’s sleep ahead . . . so I popped the vibrator back into it’s box and into the bottom drawer of my bedside cabinet . . . telling myself that further investigation would have to wait until I returned from our holiday.

And upon my return, three weeks later, I must confess that the rush and worry of getting back into work-mode meant that bottom drawer went unopened.
Until that is . . . early last Tuesday (my second week back).

I’d woken in the early hours hot and tingly from one of those fantasies that occasionally just pop into one’s head. A fantasy, that just seems to arrive from nowhere, for no particular reason . . . but a fantasy that is so hot, and so tingly, that I just know I will not be able to get back to sleep until my excitement is satisfied. (I won’t divulge this particular mornings fantasy here now, but if you ask nicely I may just replay it again on my pages here in the future).

Lost in my wetness, and with my fingers playing-out the rhythms of my adventure, I suddenly remembered those intriguing purple tongues that I’d been rubbing across my palms three weeks earlier. I leaned out over the side of the bed, opened the drawer, unboxed the Paloqueth . . . and re-acquainted myself!

The next few minutes of stroking and sliding, and adjusting the speed and pulsing levels, were simply lovely . . . and the resulting orgasm was shuddering and complete. I rolled over onto my side, curled myself up into my usual post-climatic bundle, and drifted off into a warm and satisfied slumber.

But in the cold light of day, (well the next day actually), would the Paloqueth be able to deliver such intense orgasms again, or was it the actual fantasy itself ???

The Paloqueth Tongue Vibrator & Satin Pouch

Well, I’m happy to say, that it certainly has been able to deliver . . . again and again !!!

So . . . as for my initial reaction about that “toy” look and feel ? Well I think
that was probably because the Paloqueth Tongue Vibrator is quite small (just 6 inches in length) . . . and possibly because I’ve gotten a bit bored with purple as a colour. But, of course, performance is always more important than size isn’t it!

As I said, the body of the vibrator is purple with a chrome finish bottom cap and thin strip which houses the two small control buttons. It is made of medical grade silicone which is quite smooth to the touch, apart from the head which has a pad-like curved surface made up of numerous rows of small nodules parted by a middle row of seven curved “tongues”. The nodules protude several millimetres from the surface, whilst the tongues themselves stand-up about 6 or 7 millimetres higher again.

Modesty Ablaze Paloqueth Tongue Vibrator Tongues

You would probably think from looking at my photos here that they are quite “spikey” but in fact I would describe both the nodules, and the tongues themselves, as being “stiff”, rather than abrasive, and quite flexible and not hard to the touch at all.

The head of the Paloqueth Tongue Vibrator

As you can see the head is curved in shape and has a little bit of flexibility and movement at it’s neck, which allows one to slide, and rock, it back and forth during use, to maximise the contact on one’s lips.

The control buttons are quite easy to use, holding the top “on” button down for several seconds to turn the motor on, and then using that same button to control the power and vibration settings. Holding the bottom button down for several seconds turns it off.

Control buttons for the Paloqueth Tongue Vibrator

The vibrator is actually very quiet for it’s power . . . so quite discreet to use (in fact it was my thrashing about from side-to-side as I orgasmed that woke Hubby from his sleep next to me on that first morning, rather than the buzzing of the Paloqueth itself!)

There are apparently 8 different vibration settings, but as always with my vibes, I much prefer just the constant vibration modes rather than the stop-start pulsing settings. I do like to start with a lower speed and slide the head up and down and over the whole of my vulva . . . even turning it over occasionally to use the completely smooth back of the head to build me up . . . before increasing the speed and directing those tongues more specifically up and down over my clit.

Although I haven’t yet played with the Paloqueth outside of the bedroom, it is apparently waterproof, and as I mentioned earlier, very quiet at even it’s strongest vibrations. Charging is via the included USB cable which pushes into the rear of the handle (see below). But it arrived already charged which is a nice touch, and as I described for my first “wake-up” experience, that was certainly a bonus . . . and probably just as well.

Paloqueth Tongue Vibrator Charging

Paloqueth describe the vibrator as an “Oral Sex Simulator”, but of course it doesn’t actually feel like the real thing to me. However, I must say that it can actually bring me to orgasm far quicker than even the most tongue-skilled of my lovers . . . and it gives me completely different sensations than any of my dildo-type insertables, or my on-the-spot wand clittoral vibes . . . and at the moment it is my go-to play-time toy.

So . . . if you enjoy gentle clittoral stimulation, and quiet subtle buzzing and tingling, I really do suggest you give the Paloqueth Tongue Vibrator a try!

As always, there are some more “technical descriptions” and browsing links for you below:

Paloqueth Tongue Vibrator:

Modesty Ablaze visits . . . @HonourClothing in Waterloo

Honour Clothing shop in Waterloo

I’ve had a lot of fun over the past few weekends wearing-in the set of Rubber Wrist and Ankle Cuffs, from Honour.co.uk, that I reviewed here several weeks ago. By “wearing-in” I don’t mean that I’ve been wearing them myself of course . . . rather I’ve used them on several of my subs during some fun sessions at my favourite chambers . . . and they’ve proved very useful indeed!

Now I’ve always loved the fabulous range of clothing and accessories available from Honour, particularly their amazingly priced latex range and their wonderful selection of body-stockings. And over the past four years or so I’ve purchased, or had purchased for me, lots of clothing items, and even my wonderful thigh-high red boots which I am so often asked about . . . from the fabulous Honour website.

So when I was invited to visit their Central London shop in Waterloo recently,
I just couldn’t resist !!!

Located in a lovely little street called Lower Marsh, it is literally just around the corner from Waterloo station, so really easy to get to by tube, rail or bus. Instantly recognisable from the distinctive Honour logo above the display window, one has to ring the bell to enter, but don’t be put-off, that just adds to the intimacy and personal-nature of the shop. We were immediately greeted by a lovely smiling young lady who opened the door for us and welcomed us in.

Honour Clothing Waterloo Shoes

The shop was Honour’s founding store, opened 30 years ago, and inside is like an Aladdin’s cave of wall-to-wall garments, neatly displayed on impressive hanger-racks on each side of the long galley-shaped ground-floor. The actual sight of so many wonderful and colourful items was almost overwhelming at first, but actually everything is so neatly arranged in size and style . . . and the two lovely young ladies Amy and Anita so charming and helpful . . . that I quickly felt completely at ease, and able to indulge myself in browsing from rack to rack.

The ground-floor largely features Honour’s Women’s Wear with a wonderful array of PVC and Leather, Latex and Wetlook, Basques & Corsets, Dresses, Tops, Skirts, Bras, Catsuits, Leggings & Trousers, Jackets, Stockings & Suspenders, Body-Stockings, Knickers and Lingerie.

I was in my element . . . and soon had several hangers-worth of items that I simply had to try on.

Modesty Ablaze Honour Waterloo changing rooms

The changing rooms have been cleverly and stylishly designed to make the best of the available space with ample mirrors and lighting . . . and Amy and Anita were both wonderfully patient in taking turns with helping me with the zips and buttons,
in-between serving and helping other customers at the same time, and advising on the most suitable size to best fit my bumps and curves.

Putting my preferred selections to one side . . . so that I could come back to them and be sure that I had made the right choices . . . I then led Hubby upstairs which houses the Men’s Wear and Bondage items and “toys”.

Honour Clothing Bondage items

Now as you can probably imagine, I already have quite an extensive collection of restraints and impact implements, but a fabulous thorny-stemmed Riding Crop (see below) quickly caught my eye, and a few short gulps from Hubby as I tapped it gently against the palm of his hand.

Just like the ground floor every space is, stylishly, packed with an amazing array of clothing and some very interesting dildos, vibrators and accessories.

I enjoyed browsing . . . and teasing Hubby with some rather large insertables . . . but decided to stick with my new crop, and instructed him to follow me back downstairs.

As I mentioned earlier, Honour do have a fabulous website which is perfectly laid-out, easy to use and categorizes their complete and comprehensive range of wonderful items. And there is a helpful touch-screen tablet on a stand near the downstairs counter, which makes it easy to search for specific items one may be interested in, or have seen on the website earlier.

But for me, as you might imagine, I much prefer being “hands-on” in everything I do . . . so nothing beats being able to browse in a real shop, to touch and feel . . . and of course to try things on. And it was nice to see other couples, browsing and purchasing whilst we were there, who obviously felt the same way.

And of course, the helpful and knowledgeable attention and advice from Amy and Anita made my shopping feel even more special . . . so I really do recommend you visit and experience some Honour for yourself.

Amy and Modesty at Honour clothing Waterloo

The shop at Lower Marsh (SE1 7AB) is open Monday to Friday from 10.30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed on Sundays). There is also a store in Watford (WD18 7EN), with directions to both on their website.

Modesty Ablaze at Honour Clothing

The Modesty Disclaimer: I was given a voucher for my honest and un-biased review here. But I loved my time in the shop so much that I spent much more . . . or should I say, I made Hubby spend much more . . . because after-all a lady deserves spoiling occasionally doesn’t she !!!

Modesty Ablaze reviews the ES Bondage Rubber Cuffs from @HonourClothing

Modesty Ablaze Honour Bondage Cuffs 01I’ve been very lucky over the past few years to acquire quite a collection of restraint and bondage accessories during my fun “hobby-time” sessions. But of course, it’s always nice to have more to choose from whenever I’m packing my bag(s) for a new appointment.

So it was quite a thrill recently to be asked by my favourite fetish-fashion company honour.co.uk, if I would like to review one of their new HNRX Bondage items.

I first came across Honour in the summer of 2014, at The Great British Tattoo Exhibition, where I bought my first Latex Corselette. And I have purchased numerous items of clothing from the wonderful, and easy to use, Honour website in the four years since.

And having often been seduced by their amazing range of clothing in the past,
I was certainly intrigued to “test” a set of their HNRX Rubber Wrist and Ankle Cuffs.

Modesty Ablaze Honour Bondage Cuffs 02As always, the parcel arrived perfectly and discretely packaged, in a strong brown cardboard box, which upon opening, contained two separate, black cardboard boxes (approx, 4 inches square) for the Cuffs themselves, and two smaller rectangular boxes for two “Trigger Hook” devices (more on these later).

Modesty Ablaze Honour Bondage Cuffs 03As you can see from my photos here, the boxes are all stylishly designed in Black and Purple with strong, white corrugated cardboard inner sleeves lining the Cuff boxes which also contain two metal locks and keys for each Cuff set.

Both Cuffs are made from heavy rubber latex which is actually very stiff . . . much, much stiffer than you would probably imagine. In fact my initial reaction on taking them out of the box is that they felt “too stiff and unwieldy” in comparison to my existing collection of (well used) leather bondage cuffs.

However, I am happy to say that my concern was only temporary as the natural curve of the rubber actually made them quite easy to attach to my willing assistant. They seem to hold their shape more than my leather cuffs and, I was told, felt “quite smooth and comfortable” once buckled-up . . . at least until he was clipped to the flogging-frame!

The manufacture of the cuffs is sturdy and impressive with the inner bands themselves being almost 3mm thick and 50mm wide. These bands are secured to a thinner (25mm wide) outer tongue-strap by four rows of chrome double studs. This outer strap has a chrome D and O ring at it’s middle, with a heavy duty chrome buckle at one end, and six slots to fit over the buckle tongue when secured.

Modesty Ablaze Honour Bondage Cuffs 04The Wrist Cuffs are 27cm in length (to fit wrists from 12 to 22cm circumference), whilst the Ankle Cuffs are 32cm in length (to fit ankles from 20 to 29cm circumference). And, having had the pleasure of using them twice now since their arrival in my mailbox, I must say that despite my initial concern about their rigidity, I am very impressed.

Especially when used in conjunction with Honour’s ES Double Trigger Hooks. These are separate accessories to the Cuffs, but I highly recommend that you purchase . . . not just because they clip so easily into the O-rings of the HNRX Cuffs, but because they clip so easily into absolutely anything with buckles, chains, hooks or loops.

Modesty Ablaze Honour Bondage Trigger HooksThese heavy duty, double-ended Hooks are 10cm in length and are made from Die Cast Zinc, with a Chrome-like finish, with an easy-to-use trigger-release mechanism at each end. They are light to handle and just perfect for quickly attaching . . . and quickly releasing whenever you are ready. So a safe and user-friendly accessory for the user and the used . . . if you know what I mean, and I really do recommend these as must-have items for all of your every-day restraint requirements!

So . . . as I said earlier . . . I have been shopping at honour.co.uk for lots of my play-time latex and lingerie for several years, but these exciting Rubber Cuffs have certainly piqued my interest and I am sure to be tapping on that Bondage tab more and more in the future.

As always, there are some more technical descriptions of the HNRX ES Bondage Rubber Wrist & Ankle Cuffs below:

HNRX ES Bondage Rubber Wrist & Ankle Cuffs:

Measurements: The inner bands of both cuffs are almost 3mm thick and 50mm wide, whilst the outer strap is 25mm wide.

The overall length of the Ankles Cuffs is 32cm (to fit ankles from 20 to 29cm circumference).

Modesty Ablaze and the “Satisfyer Pro Series” @SatisfyerCOM

I know that suction-style, clitoral stimulators are not for everyone . . . but ever since I first came into contact (literally as well as figuratively) with the Satisfyer range early last year, I’ve loved regularly reaching into my bedside drawer for my favourite Pro 2.

So I was absolutely thrilled to receive three of the next generation, “Satisfyer Pro”, series recently.

And what made me even more excited on first opening the box, was to discover three quite different toys within . . . because the new “Pro Series” comprises of the Satisfyer Pro G-Spot Rabbit, the Satisfyer Pro 4 Couples and the Satisfyer Pro Plus Vibrator.

Now as always with new play-things, I like to experiment . . . and experience . . . them over the course of several weeks. I find that different situations and different moods allow me to discover what I like, and perhaps what I don’t, about a new toy, rather than rushing headlong into making an instant judgement.

So . . . over the course of the next month or so, I shall be “reviewing” each of the new Pro Series Satisfyer’s separately here at my Toy Review pages.

But, in the meantime, the lovely people at Satisfyer have a very special
Easter Weekend Discount Offer which I am delighted to share with you . . .
25% OFF
any of their wonderfully fun range of toys!!!

The offer is open to readers from within Europe, Canada or the USA only, between March 30 and April 2, when ordering any items from their lovely website at: www.satisfyer.com.

Just enter my Modesty Ablaze discount code of  modestylablaze25
at checkout, to take advantage of the already amazingly reasonable prices
for even less.

PLUS . . . I have even more Satisfyer-ingly exciting news, and a little challenge, to share with you. Sally at Satisfyer has given me one extra of each of the three Pro Series toys above to give-away, absolutely free.

So, what I shall do, over the next month or so, is to make a subtle mention or hint, of something “Satisfyer-ing” within the text of my occasional blog-postings here. It won’t be in every post, and as I say, I hope to make the hints quite subtle, but the first reader to message me from myContact Modesty form quoting the specific “hint” in the relevant post, will win one of the three Pro Series toys. It will be first-come, first-served . . . and due to postage etc. will only be available to my readers within the UK. But I’m sure it will be fun . . . and “satisfying” . . . for all of us.

So, keep reading . . . and don’t forget that Special 25% OFF Easter Weekend offer using my discount code above.

You can read my previous “Satisfyer-ing” experiences >here< and >here<.

Enjoy !!! Xxx – K

Modesty Ablaze reviews the “Stinger” spanking paddle from @GratefulPain

If you are a regular visitor to my blog pages here at Modesty Ablaze, you will already know how much I enjoy my Mistressing. And one of the activities I most enjoy with my willing submissives, is administering some fun “impact play”.

I have collected quite a diverse array of impact implements over the past few years, but it is always fun to try something new! So I really was quite excited to recently receive a brand new, spanking paddle from Gratefulpain.

Excited by the look and “feel” of the paddle but also excited because, like all of the items available at Gratefulpain, the paddle was lovingly hand-crafted here in the UK.

GP use locally sourced timber . . . and kiln-dry it themselves . . . and that passion for detail in their manufacturing process was immediately apparent when I unwrapped it’s protective packaging, and ran my hands over the lovely handle and firm blade.

The paddle I was sent is, appropriately, called The Stinger . . . more on that later I can assure you!!! Mine has a Yew handle, the wood traditionally used for English longbows apparently, but there are a variety of options available. You can choose between Cherry, Alder or Olive Ash if you prefer. But, as I say, mine is Yew and it does feel wonderfully smooth and comfortable to hold . . . and I shall take great delight in explaining the longbow connection on each occasion I wield it, imagining myself as an over-excited Maid Marion exacting retribution amongst the trunks of Sherwood Forest.

The handle is 5 inches long (almost 130mm) and as you can see from my photos, has a curved shape tapering down from 35mm at the wider top to 20mm in width at the neck as it meets the blade. The shape fits my hand perfectly and is wonderfully smooth, so especially comfortable during prolonged use without any of the jarring, or discomfort, I sometimes experience with my more square-cut handled paddles.

The blade itself is made from Ashwood with an attractive grain running the complete 17 inches (435mm) of it’s length. It is 40mm wide and 6mm thick, and amazingly firm and rigid without feeling heavy at all. At least to hold and wield that is . . . I’m told that in “contact” it feels quite heavy indeed. And with a total length (including the handle) of 22 inches (560mm) it is certainly a very impressive looking, and feeling, instrument.

And I LOVE the dull slapping-thud sound it makes on impact. The first sub I used it on . . . two weeks ago now . . . described it after a few hard strokes as “like being hit with a cricket bat”. I laughingly replied “Well it’s much, much lighter to swing than a cricket bat would be . . . and I’m just going to keep going on and on, imagining your bum is a big red cricket ball!” It certainly did leave wonderful red blushes across both his cheeks, without breaking skin or leaving large welts. And I know he enjoyed it because he has requested I bring it along again for his next session.

And, in the meantime, I shall be using it again with a different slave this weekend . . . so check back here for future updates on how the “Stinger” has been received by different recipients in the coming weeks.

My only criticism of my “Stinger”, is that it didn’t have a cord or strap with which to loop it around my wrist as I occasionally pause whilst administering a paddling. And also with which to hang it up in my “Canes, Whips, Crops & Paddles” cupboard.

BUT . . . Gratefulpain tell me that a wrist loop is an option which can be requested, or selected, during the ordering process on their website. The wrist-loops are made from platted leather cord, (with para cord options soon to be available). The cord is attached to the very end of the handle, secured vertically into the centre from the top of the handle, so as not to impede with ones hand whilst holding and striking.

So, that minor aesthetic issue aside, I absolutely love my “Stinger” . . . and I really do recommend you visit their excellent website, from my Ratings Panel below, for more information on an impressively wide range of quite-unique, handcrafted, impact instruments and BDSM fetish items.

Modesty Rating: 10 out of 10
Pros: Wonderfully hand-crafted. Strong, comfortable handle and smooth firm blade.
Cons: Mine came without a wrist-loop, but as mentioned above this is available when ordering.
Material: Locally-sourced, kiln-dried wood.
Measurements: Overall length 22 inches (560mm). Handle length 5 inches (130mm) and 30mm wide at it’s widest point. The blade is 17 inches (435mm) long, 40mm wide and 6mm thick.
Noise: A lovely slapping thud.
Colour: Natural wood.
Waterproof: No . . . you shouldn’t use in the shower!
Cleaning: I always wipe clean with an anti-bacterial wipe after use. GP advise to wipe with butchers block oil from time to time. (Leave for a few minutes to penetrate wood and then wipe clean).

Modestly In2mate . . . because today is National Orgasm Day

As you may have noticed from my posts during this past week, I’m only just back from my (wonderful!) summer hols and am still catching-up on my inbox.

But today, Monday July 31st, is National Orgasm Day . . . so I could hardly let a day celebrating one of my favourite pastimes go without a mention could I ???

And one of several messages mentioning National Orgasm Day, to have arrived in my inbox whilst I was away, which really caught my eye was a post about a NEW intimate skincare range.

It caught my eye because as I said in my Modest Lubrications post last March, I’ve found that as I’ve “matured” over the past few years, I really do need more lubrication than I used to. It’s just a natural consequence of growing a little older of course. The desire is still there . . . but as our bodies change, particularly through menopause, we produce less natural juices.

Now, I haven’t had the opportunity to personally try any of the In2mate products yet but having read the details below, I certainly intend to over the next few weeks. I will of course report back here then, but in the meantime I think today is the perfect time to re-post the information I received about In2mate.

In2mate is a NEW intimate skincare range with almost 100% natural ingredients to help rejuvenate, repair, detoxify and lubricate vaginal skin.

Rejuvenation

Vaginal skin is affected by age like any other area of skin on the body. It receives a high level of wear and tear due to sex, childbirth and tampons, so it’s even more important to preserve skin in this delicate area, and for this, antioxidants are key.

In2mate products are among the first to contain a patented antioxidant called PROTEOLEA® which has been proven to help rejuvenate delicate areas of skin by slowing down age-related oxidised cellular waste degradation, by optimising cellular recycling. This process helps improve flexibility and moisturisation for a more radiant appearance and healthier feel.

Repair

Healthy bacterial balance in the vagina is crucial for maintaining good vaginal health. The humid and airless environment of the vagina combined with sexual activity, makes for an ideal place for the breeding of bad bacteria and fungus.

In2mate skincare contains a patented probiotic Biolin®, proven to help increase the good flora in the vagina while inhibiting the growth of bad vaginal bacteria that can lead to bacterial vaginitis, thrush and other l infections and imbalances.

Biolin® also repairs and strengthens vaginal skin damaged by age-related thinning, chafing and abrasions.

In2mate products also contain Jujube extract, a natural wound healing tonic for helping to repair and strengthen damaged skin.

Detoxifying

The vagina is particularly vulnerable to bad bacteria and so extra defences against toxic build up help protect the vagina from infections.

In2mate products contain Oleuropein, a mild and natural anti-bacterial and detoxifying plant polyphenol, derived from olive trees. Suitable for vaginal skin, it helps shield against the build-up of bad bacteria and also detoxifies vaginal skin leaving it cleaner and purer.

Lubrication

All skin loses moisture with age, but in particular the thin vaginal skin begins to lose moisture when female sex hormones begin to deplete in the run up to the menopause.

In2mate products contain Levan, a natural plant fructose that protects plants against damage from frost and drought by locking in moisture via the formation of a natural micro film over the plant’s surface. Used on the skin it does the same thing, helping lock in moisture and giving skin a smoother more slippery feel.

The right pH?

In2mate products keep the vagina at a pH of 4.5 or below. Normal skin is not as acidic as the vagina. Any product whether it’s a moisturiser, lubricant or wash will also be in contact with skin near the vagina. So In2mate have struck a healthy balance between the skin around the vagina and the tissue within. 4.5 is the perfect pH ‘balance’ because it’s not too high for the vagina and not too low for the skin.

The In2mate skincare range is over 99% natural and includes a gentle, non-perfumed intimate wash, a light non-sticky non-perfumed intimate moisturiser and a natural-feeling non-perfumed rejuvenating lubricant.

The In2mate complete skincare range costs £19.95 (or each item can be bought individually). Visit: www.in2mate.co.uk

And, as I say I will report back here on my own personal experience of the In2Mate Skincare range just as soon as I can.

Modesty Ablaze reviews the “Satisfyer Pro Penguin, Pro 2 & 2” @SatisfyerCOM

I love vibrators . . . now, I know that some ladies say they don’t like to use them because they feel it’s not natural, or perhaps that if they start to use them too often they won’t be able to be aroused, or achieve an orgasm, by any other means.

But I just love trying different toys and new designs, and different and new shapes and sizes. Of course, some work for me, and some don’t . . . or some work for me in different ways . . . but I’m always excited to try something new and different.

But I’d never had the pleasure of experiencing a suction-type vibe before. Until recently that is when not one, but three, arrived in my postbox, all at the same time. Not exactly three completely different ones, as they are all from the same manufacturer . . . Satisfyer at www.satisfyer.com . . . and are all of the same, or similar, suction-style family. But, nevertheless, three different designs, shapes and sizes.

Now, as I said, I do LOVE trying new Toys . . . and several years ago when I first began doing product reviews here at my Toy Reviews pages, I initially thought I had to form an instant opinion from the moment I first opened, and turned-on my new toy. However . . . over a period of time, I’ve found it much better to base my opinion, and my review . . . by taking my time, and coming back to my new play-friend(s) for, at the very least, several different sessions and, if possible, several different situations. Because not only do we each enjoy different sensations in different ways, but also because different situations or different times of the day, or different events that may have taken place during our day, all have a bearing on our frame-of-mind, or ability to relax and enjoy. And for me, I (now) always try to approach my play-times without too many expectations, and try not to think too much about the “mechanics” of my play-friend.

Sooo, over the past few weeks . . . I’ve been experimenting and playing with, in lots of different situations . . . the Satisfyer Pro Penguin, Satisfyer Pro 2 and the Satisfyer 2, (not pro, but WHOA !!!)

Now, before I tell you more about my experimenting, I do have to mention the packaging of the Satisfyers. They each arrived in a lovely glossy cardboard box with a well designed full colour photograph on the top and reverse, and the usual standard manufacturing information on the sides. A circular plastic-seal on the top, and bottom, flaps confirms that the box has not been opened since it’s initial packaging.

Inside the box(es) a thin, clear moulded-plastic, container cradles the vibrator and, in the case of the re-chargeable Pro Penguin and Pro 2, the USB-charging cable.

A small, multi-language, booklet is supplied which details the manufacturing specifications and materials and operating instructions. (Though the type-size for the smaller sized packaging of Penguin is rather too small to be easily read!)

I did think about creating 3 separate reviews, but as the design-principle of each is, (in my mind at least), basically the same . . . I thought it more useful to summarise an overview of each one and explain my experiences and the subtle differences in operation, performance and, of course, enjoyment!!!

Now I mentioned above that the Satisfyer(s) are suction-style vibrators . . . to be used expressly it would seem for clittoral stimulation. But actually Satisfyer say they work on the basis of a pressure-wave stream of air from the “head” of the toy. So not so much suction, but rather waves of air blowing and wobbling over one’s sensitive bits. This air is projected from the cup-shaped head which is designed to be placed directly over the clitoris. (So if one’s clit doesn’t extend in pre-excitement, you may need to help it “come out to play” by spreading your labia slightly apart).

On the Penguin Pro this head is a nicely formed white mouth made from a soft-ish, slightly flexible, ABS plastic. It is quite comfortable to manoeuvre, and in fact the overall shape of the Penguin Pro, with it’s soft silicone body, is probably the nicest to hold of all three of the Satisfyer’s as it fits so easily, and comfortably, in the palm of your hand.

As you will see from my photos, the bulbous widest part that one naturally grips, is 6 inches in circumference with a narrower neck that then widens to it’s smaller head (just under 5 inches circumference). The mouth itself is ½ inch in diameter which is strangely wider than the mouths of the two larger sister-toys. However despite it’s small and discreet size (it’s only 5 inches in length) it’s surprisingly intense at it’s higher settings.

But it is finding, and controlling, the settings that I find frustrating about the Penguin. Particularly when I was first experimenting with it. It has just one, central controlling panel. That larger white tear-drop shape that you will see on my photos. I find it is easier to operate with one’s thumb. It is turned on by firmly pushing the top part of the shape which lights up to indicate it is “on”. It starts at it’s lowest intensity which is increased by pressing the very subtly marked button in the lower, wider, part of the teardrop. One push increases the intensity, another push increases it again . . . up through 11 levels of increasing intensity.

But actually I found the higher levels too intense . . . and frustrating in the sense that there is no backward, decreasing setting, until you have reached the top level when it seems to re-set itself and start at the lowest setting again. Either that or turning the toy off and starting again! This makes finding the “right” intensity level annoying and upsets ones concentration. I also found that the positioning of the button / teardrop shape is awkward in itself because it faces inwards . . . in other words, towards the body. This, for me, made it difficult to manoeuvre and find the right position and pressure for my playtime.

And, although, I have been able to orgasm in subsequent play-sessions . . . and quite quickly (in fact sometimes too quickly) after more practice with the button and my body positioning . . . I would say the Penguin is my least favourite of the three and therefore probably least likely to feature in my playtimes.

The larger Satisfyer Pro 2 is though, much more for me.

Not so soft to the touch, but still nicely shaped and easy to hold. And the larger mouth, with it’s more fully shaped “head” just seems to slide over me and into position more naturally. And also in a much more natural position, for me at least, are the controls. So on the Pro 2 they face outwards from ones body as you would, naturally hold it when playing. The “on/off” button is a distinct separate button on it’s own, with the intensity button a little further up the handle. The handle itself is about the same diameter as the Penguin, but much longer (5 inches) to the L-shaped head. This head extends about 1 ½ inches from the neck, or top, of the handle . . . and as I say, just seems more natural to hold . . . and position.

As with the Penguin, I find the higher intensity levels are actually a little too intense, or “wobbly”, for me. And, frustratingly, also as with the Penguin, there is no “back” button. It is either up-up-up until it reaches it’s top (11th???) level, or you have to, annoyingly, hold the on/off button for a couple of seconds to turn it off completely, and start over. But oh my, once I find the “right” intensity . . . the sensation is simply convulsing. And possibly because the buttons are larger, and separate from the on/off one, I don’t find the Satisfyer Pro 2 to be as frustrating to get myself started as I do with it’s smaller sister.

Sooo, consequently, I admit to having . . . successfully . . . played with my Pro 2, on several occasions over the past few weeks, AND absolutely LOVING the convulsing caresses it gives.

Now, both the Penguin and the Pro 2 are re-chargeable with a quite easy to use, magnetic-disc attachment that is pulled magnetically to two small charging pins on the base of each toy with the other end being attached via a USB connection to a normal / standard USB-compatible charger. (See my photo above). So there is nothing to push into the toys themselves and I’ve had no problems at all with charging and re-charging.

But the final, and largest, of my three Satisfyers . . . just called the Satisfyer 2
. . . is battery operated. Now this (older-style technology), and the fact that it’s design is less “contemporary looking” or perhaps not quite so ergonomic in shape, might lead you to believe that it was going to be the least satisfactory of my three choices.

Well, you couldn’t be more wrong! Because . . . as I said in my introduction . . . Whoa !!! Despite expectations . . . And despite being the last of the Satisfyers in my experimenting, I simply LOVE this toy.

Not because it is the largest (despite what you may think, I don’t judge everything by size!) It is 7 inches in length and harder to the feel than either of the other two. But it is actually no heavier than the Pro 2, and it’s tapered handle is actually just as easy to hold and position. The range and power of it’s intensity also seems to match the Pro 2 . . .

BUT it is it’s control buttons that are the real clincher for me!!! Because, not only are they outwards facing as well, BUT the buttons on the Satisfyer 2 allow one to cycle not only upwards in intensity, but also downwards, which for me, make such a huge difference. It makes playtime so much more fulfilling . . . and Satisfyer-ing . . . to be able to push one-step upwards for just a little-more, but then one-step back down again, if you need to just slow-down . . . and calm-down . . . the sensations again. So much easier to control and so much easier to maintain one’s concentration.

For me playtime, whether it’s alone with one’s toys, or together with a partner(s), shouldn’t be a rush to orgasm . . . I enjoy things most when I am able to take my time, to build-up and slow-down again. To tease and tantalise and titillate and stimulate. And despite it’s impressive power and intensity, the Satisfyer 2 allows me to do just that, to actually “play” more.

But, when I do, finally, want it, the explosive and shuddering convulsions with the Satisfyer 2, have been just shudderingly wonderful.

And with battery powered toys being, I’d thought, almost a thing of the past, I was worried that with the power of the 2, the batteries would quite quickly run-out. (It takes two small AAA’s). But although I am on my second set, I only changed them because I thought . . . “surely they must go flat soon” . . . and I didn’t want them to stop in the middle of playtime.

I was also worried that the twist-to-open and take-off, compartment might affect the “waterproof”-ability of the toy. But I have actually used the Satisfyer 2 in a heavily bubbled, and quite warm, bath, without any loss of power, or detrimental affect. Not that I use any of my favourite toys in the bath very often, (I just don’t find it comfortable enough to fully let myself go), but in the interests of testing the manufacturer’s claims that all three of these toys are 100% waterproof, I did give them all the “bath test”. And whilst they all survived, and were certainly pleasurable, only one actually brought me successfully to climax. And yes, it was the 2 . . . but that was probably more due to the buttons, rather than superior submarine performance.

So, as you can tell, I do have a firm favourite amongst my three newest play-toys. And if clittoral-stimulation does it for you then I would thoroughly recommend, without a moment of hesitation, the Satisfyer 2 as probably the best value-for-money, gloriously orgasmic and quickly efficient (if quickness is also a high priority) clittoral stimulator it has been my pleasure(s) to experience.

So . . . just to summarise each of my Satisfyer experiences . . .

Modest Lubrications @Lubezilla

They say Great Sex is made from Great Communication . . . and whilst that’s certainly always been true for me, I would like to add another line to that mantra . . . “great sex is made even greater by great lubrication”.

Because as I’ve found as I’ve “matured” over the past few years, I really do need more lubrication than I used to. It’s just a natural consequence of growing a little older of course. The desire is still there . . . but as our bodies change, particularly through menopause, we produce less natural juices don’t we.

If you’re a regular visitor here you will know that I’ve been happily non-monogamous for a long, long time. (And I stress the happily . . . and long
. . . LOL!!!!) And in the earlier years of our open-relationship lifestyle I was actually very naïve about lubricants. And possibly even quite dismissive . . . as I simply didn’t ever seem to need any additional wetness.

The only time I would ever think about lube was during swingers evenings when, of course, it was a mandatory accessory . . . but as I say, I was naïve and yes, I will admit, probably uninterested.

What changed my mind? Well . . . nature changed my body . . . and my body changed my mind. So, over the past few years lubrication has been a new, and necessary accessory to my lifestyle.

And as it became more “necessary” . . . So it became much more important for me to think more about exactly what it was that was being spread on to my personal bits.

In the first instance(s) of course, I could sense what I liked and what I didn’t. Not from reading the label or asking for a detailed ingredients breakdown as it was about to be applied. After all in the “subdued” lighting of the couples room at Swingers-4-Fun et al, it was hardly the environment or appropriate moment(s) to enquire. But I could “feel” the sticky, tackiness (sic!!!) . . . or smell . . . or taste, the residue or after-burn! So I suddenly decided that I needed to take much more of an interest in lubricants and what they contained or what they were made of. After all, we are all much more careful nowadays of the additives and ingredients in the food we eat, and the deodorants, soaps and shampoo we use . . . so surely we should be just as careful about the personal body-products we use. In fact even more so !!!

Of course it was easy . . . very easy . . . to quickly shun the straight-off-the-supermarket-shelf, seemingly universally popular and well-known brand-name make. You know the one, the one that looks like cough-mixture and has that consistency of a slow-drying glue!

But where to go from there? After all, each of us are different! And each of us react in different ways and different situations. And nowadays there are just so many different sorts and different styles of lubricating options available.

Ok, well perhaps still not, in one’s local supermarket. But certainly on-line!!!

Water-based, silicone based, oil, hybrid . . . lubricants for anal play, naturally organic lubes, flavoured lubes, non-flavoured lubes. And what about all those ingredients, what are Parabens? Glycerins?

So many options and so many questions . . . it can be confusing and overwhelming even just thinking about them. But don’t worry, I’m not going to go into all those sorts of details here . . . you know me, I’m not the most technically-minded at the best of times.

But I don’t have to be . . . and you don’t either . . . because Lubezilla.com has the most incredible, fully-descriptive and comprehensive lists and links for anything and everything to do with lubricants, that I’ve ever come across.

This amazing website at Lubezilla.com is like a wonderfully wicked-pedia online-resource for what seems like almost every brand, and every type of lubricant, one could ever imagine. And browsing their fabulous website you can’t help but be impressed by the detail and research, and the obvious amount of time and effort that has gone into it’s development.

The layout is clear and easy to read and every link and every product seems to have an amazingly detailed description of  lubricant type, size, content, and ingredient-list of just what it’s made from.

AND every item has it’s own 1-minute-plus, descriptive video with product demonstrations and concise information about the particular brand and it’s uses. They are simply fabulous!!!

The Lubezilla 101 section of the site features blog-style postings covering a huge range of interesting and informative stories and helpful hints and answers to all those Frequently Asked Questions that one might have about not just Lubricants, but Condoms, sexual health and best practices.

AND . . . I’m getting all “lubricated” the more I talk about it . . . Lubezilla.com . . . doesn’t just stock lubricants, they also offer an absolutely huge range of Adult Toys and Accessories and an equally large range of Body and Beauty and Sexual Hygiene products.

For my North American readers Lubezilla.com has free delivery on all orders over $50 . . . BUT don’t worry, they do ship internationally as well, and the packaging is discreet and noted as “novelty products”.

As I say, I’ve become quite excited as I’ve been sitting here typing away about Lubezilla.com . . . and I’m sure you will soon be thrilling to learn more about lubrication . . . and more . . . as well.  So I truly urge you to start with their lovely welcoming video by clicking on the link above (or >here< if you’re already too excited to be able to scroll back up the page!!!) I know you won’t be disappointed.

The Modesty Rider:
I realise, of course, that there are already thousands of long-established Sex Toy Reviewers and Review sites . . . most of whom will be far more adept at explaining all the technical details and specifications of things. But for me, sexy clothes and lingerie, sexy toys . . . and even sexy books . . . are all about adding a little fun and excitement to things. So that is how I tend to approach my reviews and videos!!! Just to explain “how it was for me” in a fun, and light-hearted, way without taking things too seriously! Chances are that if something makes me giggle and tingle and feel good, it will score higher on my Modesty Rating.
