Even in 1986, whilst out for a run in my New Trainers, I’d never have been able to keep up with all the wonderful posts this month at #febphotofest.

And what I’m especially enjoying about Marie’s posts . . . along with her own #polaroidspast photographs . . . are her recollections of all the events and changes in her life at the time of each photo. I do urge you to investigate . . .

. . . because I think that re-living some of our past memories, is not only fun, but also a way of celebrating our bodies and reminding ourselves that not only are we all different shapes and sizes, but we all change and grow into different shapes and sizes. That is just how we all naturally develop and change.

Marie Rebelle’s “A Splash of Red” 2009

One of the experiences I’ve enjoyed most in my three years of posting here at Modesty Ablaze, has been discovering and meeting people with a similar outlook on life.

Similar experiences, similar stories . . . and similar fetishes (LOL!!!)

And one of those people has been the lovely Marie Rebelle. Not only is Marie one of the most prolific bloggers of all things erotic at her rebellious Rebel’s Notes . . . and the creator and curator of the delightfully wicked Wicked Wednesday . . . she also has an envious collection of biographical images and photographs. Such as her lovely “A Splash of Red” photograph from 2009.

And it is so lovely . . . and so in-keeping with my Polaroids Past theme of  “looking back at ourselves and celebrating the person we were . . . AND the person we have become”.

I loved Marie’s image and post so much that I just had to ask her if she would allow me to re-post it here. And I am so thrilled that she said “yes”. And, judging by the fact that she has made it one of her #febphotofest series, I suspect there will be many more exciting splashes at Rebel’s Notes to come.

Oh dear, all our Festive Fun is definitely well and truly over! Back in the office and back to the stresses and strains of “normal” office life.

But have you ever found yourself tempted at the office . . . into an office affair? That is just what Marie is asking at this week’s Wicked Wednesday!!!

“Office Affair. Did you ever have one. Or wished you had one with the hunk of the office or the sexy secretary? Do you have a fantasy about someone at the office? If you have or had an office affair, how did it start? And how did it end? Why did it end?”

Well, I have to honestly answer Marie’s question that . . . Yes I did. A long time ago . . . 1988 actually. So Marie’s prompt brought back (nice for me) memories. I’m  not going to share all the details here, but just couldn’t resist including one of my “Polaroids Past” photographs from that very year which seems to perfectly fit the Office-Affair theme.

What I can tell you is that the affair had an amazing impact on my marriage . . . and life since (see “The More I Have”).

BUT, But, but . . . I was very, very lucky and I would never suggest that one’s work-place is really the right environment for indulging in extra-curricular activities. Marvellous Year #wickedwednesday

ModestyAblazeCollar3This week’s theme at Wicked Wednesday is ushering in the New Year . . . so it seems fitting to look back on the last twelve months as well as looking forward to the year ahead.

2014 really has been a busy . . . and simply marvellous year!!!
A year in which I’ve made many new friends . . . and continued to have marvellous times with existing ones.

A year in which I have had a number of new . . . and fun . . . videos released at my favourite entertainment site MakeLoveNotPorn.tv, including more of an exhausting but sexciting session with Lover No.36, a wonderfully spontaneous, special moment with She Lover, and a return to the Dungeon for more bondage fun with Lover No.14.

I really do love MakeLoveNotPorn.tv . . . and I love being part of it . . . (I try to explain just why in my YouTube video above).

The Perfect SubmissiveThis year was also very exciting for me as it marked publication of the second and third instalments of my all-time favourite erotic read “The Perfect Submissive”, written by my all-time favourite Erotic Authoress, Kay Jaybee. Kay writes the most erotically charged, and arousing, collection of words I have ever read. Every chapter of “The Perfect Submissive Trilogy” left me wanting more but just having to put the book down to . . . well you know why!!!

And, STOP PRESS, even more sexciting news! Xcite Books announced just last month that they have asked Kay to write one final instalment in the series. Due to be published in 2015, I am tingling already!!!

2014 was also the year in which I really began to enjoy the fun and excitement of my BDSM and Femdom experiences.

Largely of course from the encouragement of Lover No.14 and our wonderful time at The Hoxton Dungeon Suite.

Since that first dungeon-night I’ve been lucky enough to have had several more dungeon sessions booked for me in order to indulge in, and expand on, my Domme experiences. I’ve also enjoyed visiting a number of BDSM and Fetdom club nights around London . . . and I certainly hope to be exploring these fun “alternatives” even further in 2015.

And, of course, 2014 was also the year I managed to meet-up with the wonderful Curvaceous Dee, in her home town, and indulge in some fun Two-For-One posts at one of my favourite pastimes >Scavenger Hunt<!

Not only is it great fun, but it is also a celebration of expressing ourselves and our sexuality. I truly do encourage you all to join in and Dare to Bare!!!

Polaroids PastAnd 2014 was also the year of “outing from my wardrobe” our photo-album collection from years gone by.

Lot and lots of naughty-but-fun photographs from the past 30 years, which Hubby has been laboriously scanning into his computer and turning into my occasional Polaroids Past archive.

It’s been fun re-living the memories, but also reminding myself that we all have to accept the way our body just naturally changes and develops throughout the course of our lives.

But from sharing all of that fun and excitement of the past year here on my blog,  I truly hope that I have also been able to have given you all lots and lots of good reasons to smile and giggle and feel some sense of fun as well.

Because that is why I blog . . . just in the hope that my posts may bring a smile to peoples faces, make them feel happier . . . and perhaps even inspire someone to open-up and express and share their own desires and expectations within their own day-to-day lives and relationships.

A Sexy Woman of A Certain Age . . . I’ve only come across Erica’s wonderful blog in the latter half of this year. But her classy and stylish blog features so many inspiring posts that always seem to resonate for me.

And I could go on . . . and on . . . as there are of course, so many other inspiring and delightfully fun and entertaining blog pages I try to visit as often as I can . . . far too many to add here.

But that’s part of the fun of exploring isn’t it . . . and if you would like to recommend a blog or website that inspires and motivates you and would like to recommend it to others, please do let me know!!!

Hair to Bare #wickedwednesday

Hair . . . or Bare? It is of course a matter of personal preference . . . and certainly back in 1985 it had never crossed my mind as to be anything other than “au naturel”!!!

And yet as soon as my “personal hair” had started growing, I’d always shaved my armpits . . . because as mother had told me “nice girls do”!!! But there was never any mention of shaving “further down below”.

It wasn’t until I discovered Nina Hartley, and her wonderfully fun and liberating movies, that I was tempted to shave my pubic hair.

Both Hubby, and my regular lover at the time (No.1), declared they loved it.
The smoothness of the “look” . . . and the smoothness of the “feel”. And so I continued.

But as time went by, I found the daily maintenance required to be tiresome . . . and time-wasting! So I began booking regular waxing appointments . . . and have just continued to do so. All of my lovers over the past years have seemed to comment approvingly . . . and so I remain . . . bare below.

Red Jacket 1984 @ #sinfulsunday

It has been so, so busy recently that I have missed several Sinful Sundays . . . though, of course, that doesn’t mean I haven’t been Sinful! In the meantime Hubby has been slowly working through our old Photo Albums, scanning away and adding digital copies to our Polaroids Past collection.

Polaroids Past @ #sinfulsunday

Modesty Ablaze takes a shower!!!“Not very Sinful” you may well say!!! . . . Well, for me, being Sinful is mostly about having fun. Doing something a little-bit silly, a little-bit outrageous . . . a little bit naughty.

And . . . in 1982 . . . this was, for me at least, being a bit naughty. Quite a bit naughty actually! Posing naked, in the shower, for Hubby and his Polaroid Camera? Very naughty!!!

Of course, Hubby being-hubby . . . and me being-me, and losing more and more of my modesty . . . we took lots and lots. We probably accounted for a huge share of Polaroid’s UK sales.

Anyway, this past August Heaven posted a polaroid for her photograph-prompt at Marie Rebelle’s Wicked Wednesday. That photograph, and subsequent visitors comments, reminded me of all of our “private” Photo Albums hidden-away on the top shelf of our bedroom wardrobe.

Hidden-away out-of-reach from prying-eyes . . . but also inconvenient and difficult to lift down and browse through (and then have to hide-away again) . . . even during our occasional passionate moments of “remember when?”

But Heaven’s post prompted me to insist Hubby bring some of them down . . . and we spent the rest of the evening giggling and laughing, and exclaiming “oh no!!!” and “I wish my tummy was STILL like that!!!” . . . as we flicked through the pages, with frequent pauses for caresses and cuddles, lost in memories of Polaroids Past.

Of course one thing led to another . . . fuelled by happy and arousing memories!!! But when we awoke the next morning, with half-a-dozen albums still spread across the bedroom floor, I said to Hubby “I think you should scan all the good ones. You know, make digital copies, so we can look at them on the computer occasionally”.

“What? There are hundreds of them! When do you think I can possibly find the time to scan all of them???” he gasped.

“Well, you’ll just have to make the time, won’t you!!!” I replied. “And you know how I always get my way!!!”

And so he has started, patiently scanning . . . and I thought I would perhaps post (some) of them on my blog . . . and invite anybody else who wishes to join-in to post some of their own onto the Polaroids Past page as well.

Because!!! . . . I think that re-living some of our past memories, is not only fun, but also a way of celebrating our bodies and reminding ourselves that not only are we all different shapes and sizes, but we all change and grow into different shapes and sizes. That is just how we all naturally develop and change. And I think that far too often we are bombarded by the media, magazines, books, television, films . . . trying to tell us that there is some sort of “perfect-fit” to how we should all look (and behave). That we are in some way, abnormal, or subject to ridicule or shame, if we don’t conform to the mainstream view of what is considered “normal” or “desirable”.

Well . . . what I want to say to the mainstream is . . . “get real”. The only way of being “normal” is being happy in our own skin. Being happy in who we are, where we’ve come from, what we’ve achieved, what we’ve given to partners, friends and family around us . . . by just being who we are and having fun. “Laugh and those around you will laugh with you”!!!

So, I hope Molly won’t mind me indulging in this Sinful-rant . . . and I hope that after joining me in my shower . . . you may be smiling just a little as you dry yourself off . . . and tap the Sinful lips below for a little less-self-indulgent Sinful fun!
