Modesty Ablaze at The Sun Dial

I always try to be discreet during my Scavenger Hunt excursions . . . as it is never my wish to upset or cause offence.

But, due to the very “public” nature of the locations we like to choose, we have occasionally found ourselves having to quickly re-robe and move on.

Such as during our Sun Dial photos above when a couple suddenly appeared behind me. The husband just stood speechless for a moment, until his wife pulled him away and said to Hubby as they passed, “it is a lovely setting here isn’t it”.

But much more worrying was the occasion below, in 2014, during a fun night
out in Hoxton, when a police car actually pulled-up and an officer told me to “Get down off that Post Box please madam!”. I was petrified that I was about to be arrested but, wonderfully, they just smiled and pulled away.

Modest Prickly Heat #sinfulsunday

Modesty Ablaze Succulent CactusThese impressive Cactus plants . . . at the entrance to one of our favourite Tavernas on our holiday island . . . have always caught my eye!

They run from just inside the gateway from the main road, right up to the outside dining area overlooking the beach below . . . and they really are
quite “prickly”.

And I’m sure there will be more prickly-heat at this weeks Sinful Sunday.

Hubby read cheerfully from his phone.

“Mmm, just my sort of succulent” I giggled “but you can jolly well put that phone down, and top-up the rest of my glass . . . it helps me . . . swallow!!!”

I’m not sure if “Cacti” is a Scavenger Hunt category . . . but we had lots of fun reminiscing about “succulents”.

A Modest Snowfield #sinfulsunday

I’m not normally one for the cold and damp of winter . . . but I’ve always enjoyed fun and games!

So the recent Olympics did make me wonder if perhaps I should begin training for the next one . . .

Though, is winter diving a category I wondered? (Don’t get too silly with your answers now!!!)

This looks more like a category I could manage . . . wielding and swinging something heavy in one’s hand?

I’m sure I could whip-up a challenge in that sort of discipline!

So . . . whilst I will try to keep you up-to-speed on my regime over the coming four years . . . some more immediate, and slightly warmer I’m sure, regimes

Modest Umbrella’s #wickedwednesday

I’m continually amazed . . . often intrigued . . . and regularly amused,
by some of the messages and photo requests I receive at my pages here.
Many of them I couldn’t possibly . . . or wouldn’t want to . . . indulge in, or entertain in anyway whatsoever.

But some of them are quite cheeky and fun! Like, for example, the gentleman who recently messaged that he had a “fetish” for Umbrella’s . . .

So, “why not” I thought . . . after-all I do often enjoy grasping a long,
firm-handled . . . um . . . umbrella ??? Such as my faithful “off-to-work”,
multi-purpose, standby above!

Or, borrowing the lovely Curvaceous Dee’s sun-parasol during a fun-filled southern-summer vacation day out together some years ago!

 

Or a more “English version” during a wet, and windy, stroll
through a London Park in 2014.

I always like to encourage different interests of course  . . . and
different fetishes as well !!!

A Modest Holiday Home #sinfulsunday

“It’s right on quite a busy road” I said to Hubby after we’d parked in the driveway, and began to wander around towards the front of the property.
“Don’t you think there might be a lot of traffic noise?”

“Well the front is so overgrown with tree’s I can’t see anything anyway” he called back. “Let’s take down the number and call the Agents when we get into town.”

We never did of course, as we ruminated over all the probable difficulties of buying property abroad. But as I mentioned on Friday, it’s turned very chilly here in London over the past week, and suddenly thoughts of having a summer holiday home seem quite attractive to me again!

I suppose I shall just have to try to distract myself with more immediate, warmer, things to view at this week’s Sinful Sunday by
dialling the lips below instead!

Building Sites Modestly Re-visited #wickedwednesday

This week’s theme at Marie’s Wicked Wednesday is all about memories . . . and it’s always fun when I am away on my holidays to remember, and re-visit, previous sites and excursions. Such as returning to several Building Sites we first visited last year, to check on their progress in the 12 months since.

So it was quite encouraging to see the beginnings of new work on what was just a series of rods sticking up here last summer.

And the work on the lower level round the corner was coming-on as well.

As some brickwork has clearly been added to what was entirely
open walls last year.

But then just further on down the hill . . . near one of our favourite little bars
. . . this site didn’t look to have changed at all.

Well, except for perhaps moving the cement-mixer from one side to the other.

I’m hoping that when we return in 2018, I will be able to report on more progress and development. It gives me something to look forward to.

But, in the meantime, there will be more looking forwards . . . and re-living fond memories . . . by tapping the button below!!!

Modesty Ablaze Summer Showers #scavengerhunt

I’ve never really liked swimming in the sea . . . all that sand, and the salt,
seems to stick everywhere, even in one’s private bits.
So I really do think a quick shower is essential . . .

ModestyAblazeShower2And, luckily, on our recent summer hols in Greece, there were several beach-showers conveniently located by the steps up to the promenade.

ModestyAblazeShower3But by late afternoon, after most of the locals had gone home for their early evening break, the water was surprisingly cold. But certainly very refreshing . . . and just what I needed before heading back to the apartment for
my own early-evening . . . break ???

I’m not sure if “Outdoor Public Showers” is a category at the soon-to-be-new Scavenger Hunt pages . . . but it was certainly fun hoping it will be!

Sinful Cocktails #sinfulsunday

I do love sucking-on . . . oh whoops, I mean sipping-on . . . a nice Cocktail.

Cocktail1And, as you can probably tell I’m on my second . . . or third . . . already !!!

Cocktail3This one is lovely . . . it’s a “Sunset Sling” . . . quite appropriate really.

Cocktail2But it is getting quite busy here now . . . I can hardly hear what you’re asking me.

Cocktail6Ooohh that’s better . . . and I can feel the sea breeze from the beach as well.

We found this lovely cocktail bar close to our apartment during our recent Summer Holiday. It seemed perfect for the Bar category at Curvaceous Dee’s Scavenger Hunt site . . . and as we’d discovered it on our first Sunday evening stroll, it seems just right for my Sinful Sunday post this week. And I’m sure there’ll be lots more Sinful discoveries from sipping (or sucking)
the lips below!!!

A #sinfulsunday visit to the Library

It’s just been so busy this week that I haven’t had the time to update my pages here. And with our summer vacation fast approaching, I had to make a difficult decision. Spend the morning at home looking through photographs for today’s Sinful Sunday . . .

Or . . . spend an hour at the library to stock-up on suitable books for reading whilst lounging around the pool???
So here I am, making a quick visit to my local Library . . .

And, quite by coincidence, the first shelf I find myself in front of is “Erotic Fiction”. And just reading some of the titles is making me feel quite hot!

Now, I wonder if they have “The Perfect Submissive” here on the shelf?

Well, I’m quite disappointed, it seems that they don’t. Perhaps I’ll have to go round to the front desk and suggest they order it in!!!

Modesty ducking down the alley #scavengerhunt

“If you are interested in medieval forms of punishment you must visit
The Ducking Stool” said the Tourist Information Leaflet . . . now how
could I possibly resist a description like that!!!  ModestyDuckingStool1

So, intrigued and excited, I followed the sign down the little alley . . .

. . . round the corner and out onto the walkway by the river. The Ducking Stool itself, a little wooden stool suspended over the river bank, was surrounded by other interested tourists.

So I had to content myself with reading the Plaque which explained that the stool was used for public punishment for women found guilty of verbal abuse, brawling or other anti-social behaviour.

Well !!! . . . that made me feel all flushed just thinking about it as I strode back up Ducking Stool Walk . . . hoping that my occasional flashes of fun will never be considered as anti-social.

After all, I just want to make people smile and have a little distraction and fun from the everyday norm. And I hope my stroll down Ducking Stool Walk will do that, and qualify for the Alley category at Curvaceous Dee’s Scavenger Hunt.
