I really was excited to receive the Rocks Off RO-Zen Vibrating Butt Plug for my latest toy-product review for Uberkinky.
I do love seeing one of my lovers wearing a tight cock and ball ring and so the idea of combining that with an anal butt plug attachment. . . and a vibrating one at that . . . had me tingling with excitement and intrigue as soon as I saw it.
But, of course, not being physically equipped to wear this product myself, I instructed one of my regular submissives that he would be testing “a new toy” at our up-coming session over the weekend. He was curious and excited, begging with expectation “What is it? What is it?”
“You’ll have to wait and see, but I think it will be just perfect for you!” I replied.
The RO-Zen arrived neatly packaged in a firm cardboard box with a white slide-off open-ended outer cardboard sleeve. The main box itself has a clear see-through acetate viewing window displaying the RO-Zen beneath, whilst the reverse of the box has a descriptive illustration of the plug, and battery details, and a list of the toys main features. There is also a 66 page, full-colour brochure inside the box . . . small in size but packed with information on the huge range of bullets, plugs, vibrators and accessories in the Rocks-Off range.
Apart from it’s internal vibrating bullet, the RO-Zen is completely made of a silky, body-safe silicone that feels lovely to touch and squeeze. The rings which slide over the man’s cock and balls are quite pliable and stretchable and so would easily fit everyone I’m sure. The Cock ring-hole is approximately 1.25 inches in diameter whilst the Ball ring-hole is slightly wider at 1.5 inches in diameter.
The connecting strap between the ball-ring and the plug itself is just under 1 inch wide, 7mm thick and about 2.5 inches in length between the ball hole and the plug. There are eight little nodules which stick-up off the surface of the strap by a millimetre or two. They are designed to apply pressure and scrape against his perineum as the plug in his bottom pulls and holds it secure from the base of his cock. (More on this in a moment).
The plug itself stands proud at 2.5 inches tall (or “insertable” length I suppose it should be described as), with a girth or circumference of 4 inches. If that sounds rather “large” the diameter is approximately 1.5 inches at its widest part, tapering down to it’s rounded end. So you certainly wouldn’t describe it as a small plug . . . but I knew my “volunteer” was used to accommodating something of this size so was sure it wouldn’t be a problem.
The actual vibrating bullet slides tightly into the base of the plug. It is just over 3 inches in length and has seven different vibrating settings which are controlled by a single push button on the cap of the bullet. The vibration-speed or pulsing settings are advanced by one push of the button to change to the next setting. But the change is only forward in direction, so if you want to go back to a previous setting you have to cycle forwards until you find that “favourite” setting again. The vibrations are turned off completely by holding down the button for a few seconds.
The Alkaline battery is included with the RO-Zen (always good as there is nothing worse than having to search for one at the last minute). The gold coloured cap protrudes by about 2cm from the base of the plug and I did enjoy squeezing the plug tightly in the palm of my hand and pushing the button, one push at-a-time, to change the speed and pulsing patterns which I could quite easily feel vibrating in my hand, even through the thick silicone skin. I was already smiling at the thought of instructing my submissive upon his arrival to “close your eyes and hold out your hands”.
And so, the RO-Zen looks lovely, feels lovely and is such a lovely idea . . . but how would it perform in practice . . . and would it test the endurance of my anal play-mate? The weekend couldn’t arrive fast enough!
When he opened his eyes his response wasn’t quite the reaction I had been expecting. “There’s not much of a neck is there?” As he ran his fingers around the point at which the bottom of the plug joins the perineum strap. And now that he had mentioned it, I realised that my own plugs (I have two different ones) do have a more distinct stem between the base and where the plugs begin to widen.
“Apparently it is designed to give you a larger, harder more prolonged erection”
I assured him, quoting the Rocks-Off blurb from the back of the box.
“Well then” he replied, “let’s give it a whirl”. And he eagerly proceeded with the task in hand . . . so to speak.
With the application of a little water-based lubricant (being silicone it should always be water-based lube) the cock ring . . . and then the ball ring, slid quite easily over his bits and he quickly declared that they felt quite comfortable. But inserting the plug, even with a more generous application of lubrication, wasn’t quite so straightforward. It appeared to go in without too much straining on his part . . . but he couldn’t get it to stay in place. Even with a more exaggerated clenching of his muscles, the slightest movement afterwards seemed to make it pop out again.
I suggested removing himself from the two rings and to try inserting the plug first so that there was no pulling pressure on the perineum strap. Again he was able to insert it but didn’t feel able to control his “grip” comfortably . . . and as soon as he attempted to slide the rings back over his balls and then cock, the plug would pop out again.
We did manage to combine our efforts and achieve some degree of success by pushing him down into a sitting position . . . although in this position of course there was no access to the push-button for turning on the vibrating bullet . . . and as soon as he lifted himself back into a standing position the plug would, frustratingly, pop out again.
By bending him over a stool I was able to apply enough pressure to hold the plug in position and begin pushing the button to engage the vibrations. His shifting motions . . . to achieve the right spot . . . and groans of pleasure, indicated that he was certainly finding this position, and the action from the plug, quite arousing.
But now that his erection had returned, trying to slide the cock and ball rings back over his firmness resulted in the plug plopping out again.
We continued our attempts with various positions and adjustments . . . but eventually had to admit defeat.
His, carefully considered, verdict was that this Butt Plug is just a little too thick, too quickly and then doesn’t allow enough of a change of shape for his sphincter to relax and close and “grip”.
So whilst he found the idea of it as exciting as I did, his body shape and that of the RO-Zen just wasn’t compatible.
But that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t work for someone else!!!
So . . . in the interest of complete impartiality, equality and, of course, scientific research . . . I decided to try the RO-Zen for myself. (I mean the Butt Plug part of it silly!!!)

Pros: I love to feel and caress that silky Silicone. And the vibrating bullet gives a nice variety of speeds and pulsings.
Cons: The Butt Plug itself would not stay in place for my “testing” volunteer/assistant.
