Modesty Ablaze in the Tunnels . . . #scavengerhunt 19

Modesty Ablaze in the TunnelsThe “City of Sails” could also be known as the “city of  volcano’s”  . . . there are 53 extinct volcano’s  across the city’s volcanic field.

Modesty Ablaze in the TunnelsAnd one of them . . . just across the harbour from the city centre . . . is home to the most amazing tunnels.

Modesty Ablaze in the TunnelsEasily accessible from the walkways below, it was wonderfully cooling to wander through the myriad of tunnels running through the hillside.

Modesty Ablaze in the TunnelsOf course I just couldn’t resist pausing at the occasional “windows” looking out onto the harbour below.

Modesty Ablaze in the TunnelsOr trying to make sense of the decades of inscriptions and messages of love . . . and lust . . . from decades of visitors who had so obviously investigated these tunnels before Hubby and I.

Modesty Ablaze in the TunnelsAnd, speaking of other visitors, I think I can hear footsteps beginning to descend the steps behind me!

But despite the occasional interruptions . . . it really was a wonderfully peaceful exploration and adventure . . . calming and Sinful at the same time!!!

So much so that I thought I would share it here with you
. . . and at Curvaceous Dee’s Scavenger Hunt site.

Modesty Bank Holiday Monday at The Boating Lake . . . #scavengerhunt 18

After a rainy and dismal Easter Sunday it was lovely to wake up to a sunny and warm Bank Holiday Easter Monday this morning. A perfect morning we thought for a relaxing stroll around The Boating Lake.

Modesty Ablaze Scavenger Hunt Boating LakeIt was already quite busy when we arrived with lots of families out enjoying
the warm weather.

ModestyBoatsSmirkSo we walked around the lakeside . . . enjoying the sounds of the ducks
on the water.

ModestyBoatsSmileMost of the benches were occupied . . . so we had to make do with finding a little shade beneath the occasional trees by the lakeside . . .

ModestyBoatsSmirk. . . and waiting patiently  . . .

ModestyTreeAhead. . . in the hope that one of the benches would become available.

ModestySittingEventually though I just gave up waiting in vain . . . so took advantage of one of the viewing points to rest my legs.

And it was such a lovely morning that I thought I would share it here with you
. . . and at Curvaceous Dee’s Scavenger Hunt site.

Modesty & Dee at The Cottage . . . Two for One #scavengerhunt 17

I don’t know about you, but I always feel there is something quite special, almost magical, about old buildings and historical places.

Modesty Ablaze Acacia Cottage It’s not just that the buildings often have a special style or beauty that seems lacking in modern-day architecture . . . for me it’s also about knowing that, like Acacia Cottage, they have been a special place for generations of different occupants and visitors.

Modesty Dee Acacia 1And even in the middle of a busy central-city setting, just being able to sit on the verandah, one could almost feel the stories they could tell . . . and the sights they have seen. (I’m sure the couple behind us probably felt exactly the same).

Modesty Ablaze Acacia 2And it was such a joy to be able to share those sort of reflections with the lovely Curvaceous Dee . . . and even though we weren’t alone . . .

Modesty Ablaze Acacia Cottage 3. . . and we heard the occasional car driving by . . . we were still able to enjoy the beautiful view across the park . . .

Modesty Ablaze Acacia Bedroom. . . and of course, I just had to explore the rooms inside to find the bedroom and admire the quilted wash-stand cover  . . . even if it was behind protective glass.

I hope you will enjoy these moments of fun, and reflection, as much as Dee and myself did . . . and if you keep visiting my Scavenger Hunt posts here and the lovely Dee’s own posts at Curvaceous Dee’s Scavenger Hunt you might well see some more Two-For-One posts in the near future.

Modesty takes the Tube . . . #scavengerhunt 16

ModestyCockfostersI’m so used to commuting to and from work every day on the London Underground, that I suppose I just take it for granted.

But Hubby simply hates the Tube . . . he says he finds it “boring”, with “nothing interesting to look at”. So whenever we are forced to take the Underground somewhere together, I always do my best to try and make it interesting . . .

ModestyReading

And on our most recent journey I found it quite easy to keep him entertained!!!

ModestySitting

It was a lovely bright day as we passed through the first few stations, before actually going underground . . .

ModestyStanding

So much so . . . that he kept asking me to stand-up as we approached each new station . . .

ModestyStandingTwo. . . something about “getting a better view” . . . which I think the people in the carriage behind me probably enjoyed as well!!!!

Eventually though we had to alight . . . and I had to become a little more “modest” as we headed for the escalators.

ModestyPlatformExitBut we had such a fun journey that I thought I would share some of the memories with you here for a Scavenger Hunt post.

Oh, and P.S. – As you probably already know, I do so love “Fostering-a-Cock” from time to time!!!

Modesty & Dee at The Monument . . . Two for One #scavengerhunt 15

I’ve always liked a good Monument. After all, there’s usually something quite . . . well . . . phallic . . . about a good monument isn’t there? Whenever one hears the word “monument” it normally conjours up visions of something quite large, strong and . . . erect!!!

And one of my favourite Monuments has always been One Tree Hill. Ever since Hubby first took me there 30 years ago, it has always been a special place for me . . .

So imagine my dee-light at having the opportunity to actually add THIS particular Monument to my Scavenger Hunt list with the dee-lightful, actual Ms Scavenger Hunt curator herself Curvaceous Dee . . . it was like two dreams coming true on the same afternoon!!!

And it was such a beautiful . . . but very windy . . . afternoon, as Dee and I wandered around the summit amongst lots of other tourists admiring the amazing view.

Modesty and Dee Monument One

In fact it was so windy that every time I walked towards the wall, to look down at the city below, I had trouble keeping my . . . modesty!!!

Modesty Ablaze Windy

But even when we did manage to find a bit of shelter, neither of us could resist feeling that warm breeze on our skin . . .

Modesty Ablaze & Curvaceous Dee Scavenger Hunt One

And, of course, being in the company of such an infectiously fun lady as Dee I didn’t need too much encouragement to want more . . .

Modesty Ablaze & Curvaceous Dee at One Tree Hill

Dee has already shared her own pictures, and some lovely words, from this wonderful afternoon at her own Sinful Sunday post . . . and we may both possibly post more Two-For-One Scavenger Hunt pictures if you’d like to see more! Just let me (and Dee) know!!!

Modesty & Dee at The Gazebo . . . Two for One #sinfulsunday

Modesty Ablaze & Curvaceous Dee at The GazeboAnother Two-For-One from my recent sunny afternoon with the delightful Curvaceous Dee . . . this one at a Gazebo in the beautiful surroundings of what is my favourite park.

Hubby always brings me here whenever we visit, and it is simply one of the most beautiful, peaceful and serene central-city parks of any that I’ve ever been to, anywhere in the world.

And, of course, sharing some naughty photo-fun with Dee made this afternoon even more beautiful . . . though with all our laughing and giggling it probably wasn’t quite as serene as it normally would be!!!

Curvaceous Dee & Modesty Ablaze at The GazeboIt was actually quite busy . . . with lots of busy workmen looking up from their digging (in the orange jackets across the road in the background) whilst we adjusted ourselves for these (and more*) Sinfully fun poses.

*There are LOTS more Two-For-One flashes with the wonderful Curvaceous Dee for naughty . . . and wickedly fun . . .  flashes if you’d like to see more! Just let me (and Dee) know!!!

Sinful Sunday is all about the image . . . and those special, sexy, erotic, arousing . . . and daring . . . pictures!!!

See who else is being delightfully Sinful this Sunday.

Modesty at the Supermarket . . . #scavengerhunt 12

ModestyAblazeCountdownThe trouble with shopping at the supermarket when one is abroad is that it just takes so long to find the items you want.

ModestyAblazeCountShelves

Nothing seems to be on the shelves where you would expect them to be . . . and are often called something quite the opposite of what you are used to, (“chips” instead of crisps)???

ModestyAblazeCountdownAisle

And I certainly did get some strange looks when I asked “Do you have any Rich Tea Biscuits?”

ModestyAblazeWineOne

But, of course, I didn’t have any problem finding the wine aisle . . . and there were so many lovely ones to choose from!!!

ModestyAblazeCountEscalator

“I do so wish Hubby would hurry up with that trolley!!!”

Modesty at the beach . . . Scavenger Hunt 10

Thank you for all the lovely messages about my Scavenger Hunt pictures . . . and to answer one of the questions I’ve been asked recently . . . Yes I do have some “beside the sea-side” photos to share with you.

This is from our Greek holiday last summer during one of our morning strolls along the small local beach-front. A few hundred yards along the beach, just away from the bars serving morning coffee and breakfast, we thought we had the sand to ourselves. It was already warm, the water was lovely . . . and, naturally, I just couldn’t resist!!!

ModestyBeachBumI’d been paddling for a few minutes and turned back towards our favourite bar (just past the tree) when I suddenly saw a small pick-up truck speeding along the sand towards us. Hubby had been so busy focussing on my bottom, he hadn’t been concentrating on further along the beach!!!

ModestyBeachQuickI quickly skipped out of the water to grab my dress from the sand, hissing at Hubby “why didn’t you see him!!!” as I heard the truck slowing down.

I was too embarrassed . . . and too intent on pulling my dress on . . . to look up. But thankfully the truck sped away again as it passed us by, with the driver apparently smiling and waving to Hubby as he pulled away!!!

I had calmed down enough as we walked back along the beach to still enjoy my coffee . . . but kept looking-up nervously every time someone new arrived at the bar, and asking Hubby “Is that the driver?”

Modesty Sunday on the Heath . . . Scavenger Hunt 7

It was another sunny Sunday morning here in London recently and my special friend She Lover and I decided to take another refreshing stroll . . . this time on Hampstead Heath.

HampsteadSunnySundayMorning

We thought we may be early enough to beat the crowds. But we were completely wrong, there were lots of other people already there with the same idea as us . . . of enjoying a stroll on the heath silly!!!

HampsteadTwo

There seemed to be people passing us by on the pathway every few seconds  . . . and  I obviously got distracted . . .

HampsteadCoffee

. . . because when we eventually found an empty bench to sit down and enjoy our coffee, I realised I’d forgotten to re-button my blouse!

HampsteadThree

And then no sooner had we begun to relax, than a lone gentleman appeared and plonked himself down on the adjoining bench behind me.

HampsteadFour

My friend and I continued our conversation, louder than before, hoping that the sound of two loud and giggling women disturbing his Sunday morning tranquillity might persuade him to leave. But our attempts were in vain and instead, it was ourselves that were forced to move on . . .

SheLoverCropped

. . . with just enough time for a quick “Selfie” on SL’s mobile phone.

See who else has posted their own flashing fun at the wonderful Curvaceous Dee’s Scavenger Hunt.
