I must confess that I have never been a great fan of Clittoral-ticklers or cock rings with “extensions” or bumps and buttons designed to tickle-ones-fancy. In fact I’ve never even found that any of those Rabbit vibrators really do it for me either.

So when I received the “Tickling Rabbit Cock Ring” in a parcel from the lovely ladies at Pink B.O.B earlier this year, I was much more interested in the other items in the parcel . . . their Breathable Ball Gag and MasterKink Bondage Rope. So much more interested in fact, that I reviewed them >here< on my Sex Toys Review pages in May.

I didn’t completely forget about the Cock Ring of course . . . after all I’m always interested in having some fun by strapping different things onto my partners from time to time. So it has featured in several play sessions since it was first unpacked, but very recently, I came to suddenly change my opinion from considering it a fun-novelty accessory to a “wow that was nice” plaything.

But before I explain . . . let me tell you about it’s physical attributes and appearance . . . because you do need to know these things don’t you!

ModestyAblazePOB2The ring arrives quite attractively packaged actually, in a three-section clear-plastic, dome. It is obviously designed to easily hang from those display hook thingys at your favourite sex-toy emporium. And cradled on it’s own little plinth within the dome, the ring itself almost looks like a translucent pink-shrimp with it’s bunny-ears curling up over the silver bullet towards you.

The top of the dome hinges open so that the ring can be lifted out and allow access to the three Batteries that are, nicely, included to power the vibrating bullet. The first thing that strikes you as you lift the ring is the light and pliable plastic material that it is made of. TPE plastic to be exact. TPE stands for “thermoplastic elastomer” which is apparently a physical mix of plastic and rubber. And I can certainly tell you it is very light and very stretchy and springy where it needs to be (the ring part silly) and yet surprisingly firm (soft-firm if you know what I mean) for the “body” of the rabbit-ears themselves.

ModestyAblazePOB3The vibrating bullet is 2.25” long and about 17mm in diameter. It unscrews quite easily to allow the three batteries to be plopped inside. Yes THREE batteries and despite being quite light they really do deliver quite a strong buzzing sensation when one pushes the small button at one end of the bullet to turn the vibrations on. There are seven different vibrating functions, each of them quite intense actually, which are activated by a further push on the button. You just push once to advance to the next vibing pattern, some faster, some a little stronger, some pulsing quickly, some pulsing a little more slowly. To turn-off the buzzing altogether you just have to hold the button down for several seconds.

As I say the vibrations are quite powerful for such a small bullet and the vibrations certainly do transfer and carry through the body of the mini-rabbit to the ears themselves, and even to the more flexible-stretchy ring part. This ring looks a little bit like a life-buoy ring and on the inside (the part that makes contact with the skin of the wearer) it has 10 little ridges, designed I’m sure for extra stimulation!

The outer diameter of the ring is 45mm with the inner “core” being about 25mm in diameter. But it does stretch of course to over double that “capacity” . . . so can fit quite snugly over probably even the most well-endowed of your partners. The thickness of this circular (holding?) part of the ring is 11mm so it gives quite nice firm support as well as, according to my willing-helper, a strong “grip”.

Now as I mentioned, I’m never been a great fan for “tickling” accessories during sex . . . so the first experiences of play-time with the Pink B.O.B. Tickling Rabbit Cock Ring was some masturbation play with my afore-mentioned “helper”. I’d wanted him to tell me how the vibrations felt for him . . . on his cock. So I experimented (of course) with me sliding it up and down his willing erection, stretching it open and letting it slap-back against his man-shaft and turning it round . . . upside down if you like . . . so that the bunny-ears tickled against his balls.

His reaction was that the sensation was quite pleasurable without being “earth-shattering” . . . that was until I pushed the bullet harder against that sensitive part of his flesh where cock meets balls . . . and he actually climaxed very quickly. With large gasps from him . . . and delightful giggles from me! So for him, it turns-out that instead of making him last longer, it can actually have quite the opposite effect when worn that way-round and pushed against “that spot”.

And that’s largely how our, occasional, usage of the Tickling Rabbit Cock Ring remained . . . in fact we even featured a cameo appearance of exactly that sort of play on my “Me Time Collection” MLNP video several months ago.

But “playtime” is a funny thing sometimes isn’t it . . . because just last weekend Hubby lifted the ring out of our Toy Drawer and slipped it on (the right-way round) for “some loving cuddles” . . . and almost by accident we finally discovered the perfect position for those little ears to really, really work for me!!!

No, I’m not going to tell you how . . . you’ll just have to guess . . . but the reason I’m telling you about it now, and the reason I was suddenly reminded that I just had to review the Tickling Rabbit Cock Ring, is just to illustrate, once again, the point that sometimes “fun” just happens. Spontaneous, unplanned, when one is not trying too hard . . . and perhaps with a little help from some “fun play toys”.

Pros: Springy, stretchy, soft but firm plasticky feel. Powerful vibrations for such a small bullet.
Cons: Vibration patterns only scroll one-way, so one has to scroll forwards through them all again to find ones favourite.

Modesty Ablaze reviews the “Master Series Cock Shock Remote Controlled Cock Ring” from @UberKinky

I’m always excited to discover new toys . . . particularly when they are something that I’ve never tried, or experienced, before. And that is why it was especially thrilling . . . and tingling !!! . . . to receive this Remote Controlled, Cock-Shock, Cock Ring from my favourite toy shop Uberkinky.

It’s actually called the “Master Series Cock Shock Remote Controlled Cock Ring“ . . . but, to my submissives, it will now forever be known as “Mistresses” Cock-Shocker . . . because I just LOVE playing with it and watching my slaves nervousness whenever I command them to strap it on.

Now, the packaging is not particularly stylish or robust. It’s outer display box is quite cheap glossy card, with an open panel which does at least easily display the contents within . . . so one doesn’t have to rely on the pictures or descriptive wording on the back of the pack (see left) to see exactly what is inside the box. Oh, and by-the-way, that dildo illustrated on the back is not included, it is merely intended to show where the shock unit itself should be attached (just in-case you weren’t sure).

The Remote Control, and the Cock-Shock Cock Ring itself is held in place within the box, with a clear plastic moulded packaging. It does look a bit cheap . . . and I suppose that one’s initial reaction on holding the controller, is that it feels a bit cheap as well.

BUT, just like lots of the other wide range of different . . . and fun . . . Cock Rings available at Uberkinky, this is one toy for which the “looks” are not the most important aspect!!!

Both the controller, and the “unit” itself are made of ABS Plastic. I’ve christened the unit “Mistresses sack-pack”, as you couldn’t really call it a “ring” (although I suppose you could call it a cock-block)!

Anyway the plastic in this part is quite substantial and houses two Triple A batteries (which are not supplied by the way, so make sure you’ve got some close at hand, otherwise all that expectant excitement may be quickly deflated).

The pack is 2 and ¾ inches long, 1 and ½ inches deep, and just over an inch wide.

There are two small, metal prongs, which are the actual conductors that deliver the “shock” once the unit has been strapped on, and held tightly in place, with two cross-over velcro straps. They are ¾ of an inch wide and about 4 inches long for each strap . . . so can easily be strapped around an ankle, or arm . . . but of course you KNOW exactly where I like to strap it, don’t you !!!

The Remote Control is quite light to hold and this DOES come with it’s own battery supplied. You’ll have to open the slot at the back, to remove the plastic-packaging around the contact-points when you first come to use it.

ModestyAblazeCockShocker7You will have to “link” your remote to the base-unit for your first use . . . so once you’ve re-inserted the battery into the controller, make sure the tiny-little switch on the side is flicked up to the “on” position. Don’t confuse this with the other switch just below it which toggles the volume of the “sound” button from low to higher.

Then, unscrew the two conductors on the “sack pack” . . . don’t lose them, or let them roll off the table onto the floor or something. There’s nothing worse in a darkly lit dungeon, than having your screws roll off somewhere under a heavy wooden cabinet, or the legs of your St. Andrews Cross.

Pop those two Triple A’s, you got ready earlier, into their compartments and you will see the small green light on the side of the unit come on, and the little red light next to it should be flashing. Then you must “press” the “Vibrate” button on the controller to link the two together. If the unit doesn’t vibrate, remove one of the Triple A’s and try again. The red light should be flashing when you press the “vibrate” button. Once that’s happened, re-position the top panel . . . screw those conductors back on and you’re almost ready to go!!!

I say “almost” of course . . . because now you have to command your sub to strap-on the “sack pack” . . . making sure that the two metal conductors are both pressed tightly against his skin.

There are actually four little buttons on the remote control, each with a little graphical icon to illustrate their purpose. One shines a little light . . . so when he’s on his knees for instance, you can command him to follow the little light beam as you shine it on the floor and move it around the room. The next button, immediately below it, emits a beeping tone to give him audio prompts whenever you want him to stop, or change, whatever it is that you have just commanded him to do. Then there is the vibration button, which gives quite gentle warning vibrations, or prompts should you feel he is not performing as he should.

And finally . . . and this is where the real fun begins . . . there is the “shock” button. Now, apparently, if you extend the aerial, this remote will work from up to 80 feet away. So there will be no hiding place if he is mis-behaving and you want to “shock” him back to submission.

And the shock is really quite powerful . . . so when it is strapped on, making sure that those two conductors are tight against his fleshy bits you might want to use some cuffs or rope ties around his wrists to make sure he can’t suddenly reach down and unpeel the velcro at the very first jolt.

I normally start with just a little vibration or two . . . just to get him warmed-up. Followed by some audio and visual prompts with the light-beam . . . and . . . then . . . zap !!!

I can tell from the reaction and howls of surprise from the subs I’ve used it on, just how powerful it really is . . . even for those who have said they have the highest threshold, or have played with electro-training before, this Master Series Cock Shock Remote Controlled Cock Ring apparently sends the most intense . . . and powerful . . . jolts they have ever had.

Now, as I said, I LOVE it . . . and have had so much fun with it over the past few weeks. But one must always remember to respect the limits of the wearer . . . and, as with everything I do in my sessions . . . I always stop just as soon as I hear my subs “safe word”. I would have liked there to be two, or three, different levels of intensity for the jolts. Just to perhaps tease, or train, my slaves up through several levels of shock, rather than have them cry their safe word so quickly. So, consequently, all of my “cock-shocker” sessions have been quite short so far!

Oh, and I must point-out that the unit turns itself off after three minutes of in-activity. So if you have to pause to give your sub time to recover, you can keep it active by pressing any of the buttons every so often, even just the light or audio button . . . it doesn’t have to be the Shock Button.

But, I haven’t yet had any of the subs I’ve used it on, be able to take more than two or three jolts before they’ve cried their “safe word” . . . so, if you think you could do better, just let me know!!!

Modesty Rating: 8 out of 10
Pros: A fun toy to introduce something a little different to your slave training sessions or play-time. Very powerful, and does exactly what it says.
Cons: I would have liked two (or more?) different “shock” levels.

Batteries: Controller battery LR03 (Alkaline) is included, however base unit requires 2 AAA which are NOT included.
Waterproof: No.
Cleaning: Obviously always clean the base thoroughly after use. I wipe with my anti-bacterial cleansers and allow to dry, naturally, before the next use.

Modesty Ablaze reviews the Loving Joy Dream Eggs @Belle_De_Soir

I’ve always been intrigued by the thought of vibrating balls or eggs . . . but never owned any! So I was thrilled that the Loving Joy Dream Eggs were among some suggestions that the lovely people at Belle De Soir recently asked me if I’d be interested in receiving to review.

As always the parcel arrived within two days of me emailing my request and, again as always with everything from Belle De Soir, was wonderfully packaged inside a neat white plain cardboard box. As you can see from my photo above, the Dream Eggs box itself is a really nice strong black cardboard design with open-window type top. (Though I did wonder if the spelling of “12 Funtions” was a deliberate play on words . . . or just that they’d missed out the “c” when proof-reading the design!)

The controller and the three eggs are perfectly packed in a clear plastic moulded pack of their own which, when one slides it out from the box, has a hinged lid which can be easily opened and closed again each time you use them.

I was a bit disappointed that the hand-controller felt quite light and “plasticky” when I first lifted it out. But the Eggs themselves are much nicer and more silky to the touch . . . and as the price from Belle De Soir is so reasonable for an item of this nature, one really shouldn’t quibble about the “feel” of the controller . . .
so I won’t !!

What I had forgotten though, when I read the initial blurb about the Dream Eggs, is that the handset requires two AAA Batteries which are not included with the item. And a quick rummage through my toys drawer wasn’t helpful either, as all my other battery operated vibes used ones of a completely different size or type. But wait, the TV remote control? . . . Ah ha, perfect . . . I certainly wasn’t going to be watching television at the same time!!!

As I mentioned, the eggs themselves feel nicer than the controller. The exact size of each one is noted in my summary panel below, so for now I’ll just refer to them here as Small, Medium and Large. The Small and Large ones feel quite similar in shape and smoothness, but the Middle one is different actually. It has a slightly ridged or grooved feel to it . . . so I was keen to “feel” the difference, in practice so-to-speak.

Each Egg has it’s own cable with which to attach them to the controller. The cables are very light and unobtrusive and at 33 inches long give one plenty of scope for position and eventuality. At the egg-end they are moulded into the shape itself . . . so there is no danger of the cable becoming detached and leaving the egg behind! The other end of each cable has a small plug, rather like a headphone-jack for ones phone, which plugs into the controller. And a note here re the “Wired remote control vibrating eggs” description on the Dream Eggs product page at Belle De Soir which should perhaps be a little clearer. Ie: “remote” doesn’t mean “wireless” because the Eggs do have to be physically attached to the controller by plugging in their cable. (So my fantasies of wandering around my local supermarket aisles, or perhaps dining-out with a lover at an exclusive West End restaurant, whilst having an Egg wildly vibrating inside me, will be difficult to achieve. But . . . never say never . . . so watch this space!!!)

Anyway . . . on with the task in-hand!!! There are just two buttons on the controller, one to turn on and off, and the top one (with x12 printed on it) from which you can scroll through the 12 different speed-settings with each push of the button. You can only scroll upwards, so if you select a setting to see what it is like only to find you prefer the previous setting, you have to turn the unit off and then start again. So, like all things, it’s a question of trial and error to determine one’s favourite setting and remembering how many “pushes” on the button it was to find it. Or of course you may find it’s just fun to change the setting every-so-often anyway.

I won’t describe each setting one-by-one, but each are a little faster or more intense, or may have a more “pulsing / throbbing” vibration as you change from one to the next, and for such small batteries the vibrations are surprisingly strong, and surprisingly quiet as well. And actually I was really quite impressed with the different variety and throbbing-patterns of the pulsing options as I scrolled through them whilst holding each Egg in the palm of my hand.

But how do those vibrations feel where they should really count??? . . . Well . . .

Sometimes I get a bit greedy, but I resisted the temptation to go straight for the Large one and started, where one always should, at the very beginning . . . with the Smallest.

Now I am a clittoral girl and I love the feeling I get from being tingled and buzzed, stroked and vibrated there . . . and that is, of course, where things normally start for me at playtime. (Not always, but mostly!) And as I said, for such small batteries, the vibrations even on the smallest of the eggs are surprisingly strong and very pleasant. But I can get quickly bored . . . and anyway, the thing I’d always been interested in about Eggs was how they might feel once inside me.

So, buzzing away, I slid No.1 (Small) inside . . . and . . . well I could feel it . . . just.
I squeezed my legs together and worked on my pelvic-routine a little, but . . . it wasn’t giving me the sensations I’d hoped for. I experimented with the settings, faster, and searching for that really nice pulsing one that I’d discovered whilst holding it over my clit. But did it give me the same sensation inside? No . . . not really.

Perhaps I needed larger, and perhaps that slightly ridged Middle one, would do the trick? It certainly felt nice rubbing back and forth over my clit again . . . and because it was a bit larger the vibrations did feel stronger . . . but once inside I’m afraid I was left with the same feeling of not really feeling that much. I twisted it round and round as well, trying to sense if those “ridges” made any internal difference, but sadly they didn’t.

So . . . I was sure that the Large egg was going to be just what I needed . . . I always like large, from my glasses of wine to . . . well, you know !!! And on the outside ooohh those vibrations certainly felt even stronger, so . . . ???

Well I could feel it buzzing away inside, and I could sense the changes in speed and vibrations as I pushed away at the button. But . . . I still wanted to be feeling more. I wanted it to be making me twist and shake, and shudder and sway, but it didn’t . . . and because I knew I would lose the moment and lose my concentration completely, I slid it back out . . . and up over my own button again. And, yes, bliss . . . if you know what I mean!!!

But as nice as that was, it wasn’t really the sensation I’d been hoping for from the Loving Joy Dream Eggs.

However, first-time play is often not what you hope it will be. And I also know that when I’m trying out a new toy that I have been asked to review, my mindset is not always as it would be if I was just playing normally. So I always pack the toy away and come back to it again for a fresh approach a few days later.

S0 I have tried it again on a number of different occasions . . . both on my own . . . and also “in company” . . . and although it has been fun and has introduced a different approach to my playtime, it still hasn’t really moved me as much as I’d hoped it might.

I do enjoy those different and quite clever pulsing motions. But, for the times I like to be . . . “filled-up” more . . . I need something which can thrust further and deeper, or perhaps stimulate my g-spot . . . which even with the Largest egg, it just isn’t possible to achieve.

But . . . we are all different and all enjoy stimulation and play-times in different ways don’t we . . . and so, if you know that you enjoy internal vaginal stimulation, then I would certainly recommend giving the Loving Joy Dream Eggs from Belle De Soir a try . . . because they may just do for you what they don’t quite manage for me. Well, apart that is, from those lovely “external” pulses!!!

Oh, and what about the TV remote control? Well yes . . . I did put them back . . . but only after instructing Hubby to “buy me two brand-new batteries for my Eggs please”.

Pros: Surprisingly strong vibrations and surprisingly quiet, especially when inserted, (but see **Batteries below).
Cons: For me, personally, they just don’t move me to “that other place”.
Material: Skin-safe, ABS plastic. Latex and Phthalates free.
Measurements: Small Egg 4.5 x 2.5cm; Medium Egg 5.5 x 2.5cm; Large Egg 7.5 x 3.5cm. Hand-controller 11.5 x 4.5cm. Connecting cables 33 inches long.
Noise: Quite quiet, especially when inserted.
Colour: Pink.
Lubrication: Water-based only!
Batteries: 2 x AAA required and are not included. Although I haven’t run the Eggs continuously for any long period, I have been using quite regularly over the past two weeks and they are still buzzing strongly!
Waterproof: No information supplied, but I would suspect not. Well certainly not for the controller.
Cleaning: Obviously always wash thoroughly before, and after use. I first wipe with my anti-bacterial cleansers then with warm soapy water.

I must admit that the outer box isn’t particularly impressive when you first remove the package from the Postal Jiffy Bag, and bubble-wrap, that the parcel arrives in. It’s a thin glossy cardboard box with a rather unflattering design and rather garish (for my taste anyway) colours. But once I opened the top and pulled out the inner plastic bag containing the Trinity, I quickly forgot about it’s packaging . . . because it is . . . certainly BIG!!!

Eleven inches long from tip-to-toe, nine-and-a-half inches of which is actual “insertable” length. And . . . getting straight to the point . . . I can tell you that having shared my bed for the last two weeks, it is absolutely ideal for those moments when I just can’t get the “real thing”, because it’s actually quite realistic in both looks, and “feel”, with a smoothly curved and shaped head . . . and lovely ridges running down the shaft.

The Trinity is made of a soft rubber and is quite pliable and flexible in it’s “flaccid, floppy” state. At this point it’s under two inches in diameter. But, once you start giving it a few little squeezes on it’s hand pump, it soon starts to become quite . . . “erect” . . . and quickly becomes quite firm. Mmm . . . just how I like it!!!

Because it is completely hollow and doesn’t have any core, or shaft inside, I found the best way to play with Trinity was to give him a few squeezes on the pump . . . just to get him started . . . apply some lube (water-based, rubber friendly only of course) and then slowly slide him inside. I then start gently squeezing the hand pump (I imagine it’s his balls I’m playing with) and I can soon feel him swelling and getting bigger and definitely firmer inside and quite quickly filling me up. And, as we all know, it’s a lovely feeling to have that sense of being filled-up inside!!!

Just how filled-up? Well I can’t take any measurements “internally” of course, but just holding the Trinity in my hand, I’ve been able to coax him to well over 8 inches in circumference, and I’m sure you’ll agree, that’s quite “big”.

Unfortunately as the connecting tube attaches into the base of the dildo, it means you can’t actually stand him up on a table or chair or something, or sit down over him. But I suppose if I’m being honest, the only way I could really enjoy something of this length . . . and girth . . . is to be laying down on my back and completely losing myself in some lovely sliding and stroking. That’s much more comfortable than I’d be able to manage if I was trying to sit-down onto it. And the tube which connects the hand pump to the dildo is also 11 inches in length, so it’s quite easy to manoeuvre, even when one is lying back and getting completely lost in “pumping” him up.

The pump is easy to use and even after a few gentle squeezes you can certainly feel the dildo “growing” and you will soon find your own “comfort” level. And should you feel you quickly need to release some of his “size”, just a squeeze on the quick-release valve will immediately shrink the Trinity, just-a-little with a short squeeze, or if you hold the button down, the dildo will deflate completely in a flash. So there is no danger of you getting stuck if you get over-excited.

The Trinity can also . . . apparently . . . be used anally as well. But I haven’t tried that, because I think it’s size would be a little too much for me to feel comfortable with. And besides which, my pussy has been enjoying playing with him so much that I’m perfectly happy with that for the moment . . . thank you very much.

But, if you enjoy being stretched anally . . . as well as vaginally . . . I’m sure you’ll find this impressive dildo will more than fill your needs.

Of course, which-ever entrance you use your Trinity in, you’ll obviously need to give him a thorough cleaning all over with warm soapy water afterwards. I leave it to dry naturally rather than wiping it dry as I find the rubber picks up fibres otherwise. And once dry, I pack my Trinity away back in it’s box to keep it separate from my other rubber or latex toys for the same reason.

Now, I know I keep mentioning that the Trinity is big (certainly big-enough for me) but UberKinky do have even bigger members available at their Dildos page.

But, as I said earlier, I’ve become rather fond of my Trinity Inflatable and I’m sure he’ll be a regular playtime companion in the Modesty Boudoir.

Modesty Ablaze reviews the “Colt Inflatable Butt Plug” @UberKinky

If you’ve visited me here before you probably think that I have a “thing” for anal, as several of my most recent “Toy Reviews” have been for items of that type. But it’s more coincidence, rather than preference, as it just seems to be that those are the sort of toys I am most often being sent for review nowadays. Because, although I definitely don’t have a “thing” for bottom-play, I do if the mood takes me, enjoy a “different approach” from time to time. (Though please do check my retrospective “A Cautionary Tale Update” addition to one of my very first bottom-approach reviews from 2014).

And “mood” certainly is key for me when it comes to bottom-play of any type. If I’m not in the right mood, at the right time, then no matter how hard I . . . or my playmate(s) . . . may try, I just know it won’t work out and I will quickly insist that we leave it for another time. And my mood can be influenced by any number of things . . . who I’m playing with of course (I rarely feel in the mood to play this way alone!), the environment and surroundings I find myself in . . . and the aesthetics of the actual toy itself. The way it looks and the way it feels . . . I mean to the touch, before it actually goes (or tries to go) in!!.

So, enter (if you will excuse the pun), the Uberkinky Colt Inflatable Butt Plug. Now when I was first offered the opportunity to review the Colt, I was certainly interested and intrigued. I’ve never owned an “inflatable” before, so straight away that made me curious?

UberKinky does, of course, have quite a range of Inflatable Butt Plugs and browsing through them all aroused my curiosity even more, but I felt the Colt was probably an ideal starting point. And when the tell-tale-shaped, padded envelope arrived, I excitedly opened it and quickly began unrolling the layer of bubble-plastic wrapped around the inner bag. As the plug itself, and the hand-pump and tube were revealed . . . my immediate aesthetic-reaction was, I have to admit, one of disappointment. “It looks industrial” I said to myself, “like something from the plumbing section at B&Q”. But functionality, rather than beauty, is obviously the main factor with anal toys . . . so onwards we go . . . if not immediately upwards.

The toy is supplied in a plastic bag with a small (very small and very basic) multi-language, black and white leaflet. The text is obviously generic for all rubber toys rather than specifically for this toy itself, so is not particularly useful or helpful.

Hand-Pump & Plug. Interesting!

As you can see from my photographs, the Colt consists of a bright red hand pump, and a 15inch tube, which attaches to the black plug itself. Made of a latex rubber material the plug doesn’t look too imposing does it? It’s insertable “erection” is about 4inches tapering from a rounded end to a circumference of about 4.5inches . . . that’s four-and-a-half, by the way, just in case the decimal point doesn’t display well on your tablet screen, (I wouldn’t want to frighten you unduly!!!)

The plug was wrapped in a vacuum-sealed plastic and once I’d peeled that off, it felt reasonably soft and pleasant to hold in my hand. Not as nice as my silicone favourites of course, but a normal rubbery feel. It felt quite firm and solid, so I was intrigued as to how it was actually going to “inflate”.

So, after giving it all a thorough wash over in some warm soapy water, I attached the tube to the hand-pump and began squeezing!

ModestyInflatable1Now it does actually require quite a firm squeezing and for a moment or two, as I squeezed the pump with one hand and cradled the plug in the other, nothing seemed to be happening. But then, to my delighted giggles, I began to feel the plug moving, and expanding, in the palm of my hand. And with a gentle, almost throbbing-pulsing sort of motion, I could definitely feel, and see, the plug beginning to grow . . . wider.

It has an outer skin, like a thick black rubber condom over it’s inner-shaft which, as you pump the air into it fills and expands this outer skin. As I said, it does require quite a firm and gradual squeezing . . . but that, of course, is a good thing isn’t it! I mean you wouldn’t want it to suddenly blow-up like a balloon in a few seconds would you! That wouldn’t be safe . . . well, certainly not for a cautious and slow-starter like myself!!!

But don’t worry, because from the safety point of view, the Colt has a quick-release valve that, with a gentle press, immediately releases all the air . . . backwards down the tube . . . not inside one’s bottom!!!

So . . . initial exploration and working procedure over . . . what about the practical “field test” . . ???

Well I’m happy to report that, as I later unwrapped it for my testing-assistant, he wasn’t put off at all by my pre-warning of it looking a “bit industrial”. His reaction was, “That’s a fetish for some people isn’t it? That rubber and mask, red and black thing!”

I giggled back with delight, “Well that’s good then.” Waving the lube bottle under his nose, “Let’s get started!!!”

Now I often find that when I’m trying out, or for all intents and purposes, “testing” new toys, that the actual process of “testing” rather spoils the real fun or enjoyment that one would hope for when playing with ones toys. I want it to be natural, and spontaneous, and part of an overall session of pleasure rather than a “laboratory assessment”. So usually I find those first occasions to be unsuccessful . . . a case of the anticipation upsetting the reality.

But on this occasion, perhaps because of the necessity of that slow pumping motion, the response slowly built from curious expectation to . . . giggling twisting and turning . . . to gasping and squirming! For the both of us . . . !

So later . . . some-time later if you know what I mean, after my asking “too many questions” . . . and in the interests of proper and thorough scientific research of course, I decided to try it for myself. (Without wishing to spoil the momentum, it goes without saying that after a thorough washing . . . and the application of a fresh condom . . . I always use condoms with these sort of toys and have black ones which helps with that sense of the aesthetic I mentioned earlier).

And???

Well it is different, quite different, and . . . still giggling at first . . . my reaction was that it is fun.

I am one for normally using my anal toys in conjunction with other things going on at the same time, so am not always conscious of any specific feeling down there, other than one of sensing that “pressure” and of being filled-up. I don’t often orgasm from just anal-play. But “being pumped” with the Colt and probably because I was conscious of wanting to feel it, and wanting to think about it, meant that on this occasion I got quite carried away.

With the application of a healthy portion of lubricant . . . water based, latex friendly only please . . . the plug slides in quite easily. And, as the pump was squeezed to increase the pressure with gradual “pumps” I certainly could sense that throbbing and pulsing that I’d felt in the palm of my hand earlier. I reached my comfort level quite quickly and was able to continue my play for several more minutes before, in the natural sequence of events, I needed release . . . in more ways than one! The sudden relief of pressure, as the quick release valve was pushed, probably heightened my convulsions (though at times like that my sense of observation and recollection becomes numbed, so to speak).

So . . . whilst it is not something that I could use all the time, because I still have to be in that right “mood”, it was fun. And fun is what it is always about for me:

Cons: A little bit too “industrial” to look at in the first instance. The air-tube enters directly from the base of the plug which means it can’t be placed onto a flat surface to “sit down upon”.

Modesty Ablaze reviews the “Flexi Plug Suction Cup Anal Toy”

There is no doubting that sexuality and relationship-topics have certainly moved further and further into our “mainstream” way of life over the past few years . . . which is, of course, a wonderful thing!!! And as sexual awareness and our right as women to express our feelings and desires has (rightly) become more acceptable and more openly discussed, I find that one of the first subjects that usually comes up in conversation is about one’s collection of . . . “sextoys”.

And gone too are the days when “sextoys” meant . . . almost exclusively . . . a “vibrator”. Nowadays, we can all openly talk about such a wide variety of different toys, for different uses . . . and for different areas all over our bodies. But, it seems to me that most recently, the “sextoy” focus has moved from the front to . . . well, to round to the back, as it were . . . so much so that almost all of the toys I have been offered for reviews of late, have all been designed for one’s bottom.

ModestyAblazeFlexi3Which brings me to the latest parcel to arrive in my box . . . my mail box silly!!! . . . the “Flexi Plug Suction Cup Anal Toy”.

Now, I have to tell you that my bottom is not my preferred point of entry. In fact I do have to be in a certain mood, a certain frame of mind, and in a nice calming and relaxed environment before I feel relaxed enough to fully indulge.

And it  has taken me several weeks, and several occasions of opening, feeling, looking at . . . and then putting it back in the box . . . before I finally found the appropriate occasion to progress further.

So . . . if you are still with me . . . the “Flexi Plug Suction Cup Anal Toy”.

A 4″ wide, 7.25″ tall and 3″ deep, glossly and strong cardboard box with one of those hanging slots extending from the top of the back of the box so that the item can be hung up easily on the presentation racks in your local store. But curiously (perhaps to protect the more modest amongst us as we browse the aisles) the conically shaped clear plastic window which “displays” the toy itself is on the “rear” of the box. I suppose that could be considered as appropriate really . . . LOL!!! . . . but it does mean that if you were actually browsing the aisles of your favourite Toy Shop, you would have to physically slide the box off the rack and turn it around to view the Plug itself. I’m sure the box has been designed that way on purpose . . . and anyway, you can see my photos here to see what you would see once you’ve turned the box around. And, of course, it’s what’s inside that counts isn’t it!

For me it’s often first impressions that shape my acceptance, or interest, in new things . . . the way they look, the way they feel. And on sliding the inner clear-plastic box out from it’s outer packaging I must confess I did feel a little disappointed. Not so much at the colour (it’s, thankfully, a  much darker shade of blue than the photo on it’s link-page on the Amazon web-site which is a ghastly neon-blue) but more with the way it felt as I lifted it out of it’s plastic cradle. The actual product description is “FLEXIBLE SOFT JELLY, body-safe and latex-free”, but it felt a little sticky and plasticky to me. I suppose that’s just because I personally prefer the feel of my silicon toys . . . but I quickly reminded myself that I would be applying a condom, and lots of lube anyway, so . . .

The Plug itself is certainly flexible, bendy and pliable, and soft-ish yet reasonably firm in it’s erection. It tapers smoothly down for 1.5″ from it’s tip (approx 1/4″ in diameter at the top) to approx 3/4″ diameter before it reaches the first of it’s two beads where it swells to approx 1″ diameter before tapering in ever-so-slightly and then swelling to it’s second bead of 1.25″ diameter. This larger bead is about the same measurement (1.25″) in depth before tapering in again slightly to it’s short stem of 3/4″ diameter which joins it to the suction-cup base. This base has a diameter of 2.25″ and is actually wonderfully strong in the way it grips almost any flat surface you gently push it onto. It easily sucks itself and sticks to my wooden desk, wardrobe door, glass-topped dressing table . . . and the tiles of my shower (more in a minute!).

As I continued to bend and wobble the plug, and walk around sticking it to every flat surface I could, I began to warm to my Flexi Plug . . . and to it’s play possibilities.

The overall, insertable length, is 4″ so quite modest compared to some of the plugs I’ve been sent in the past . . . so for that reason I could certainly recommend it if you are just beginning to explore anal playtime.

So, how about that playtime?

ModestyAblazeFlexi5Well, although I was so immediately taken with the idea of the suction-cup application, I found that in practice it actually wasn’t the easiest of toys for me to indulge in solo play. I was quite excited to rush into the bathroom and push it onto the tiled wall of my shower. But trying to reverse onto it was difficult to manage, the actual “flexibility” of the plug seemed to work against me and made positioning, placing and inserting . . . well, just awkward. And as the running water, and rising steam (I do, of course, like it “hot”) combined with my giggles of frustration and poor balance, I had to give up on my fantasy of “a good shower plugging!”. And even more giggles followed in trying to pull it off the tiles . . . it wanted to move up and down and slide from side to side, but didn’t want to come off. So plus points for Strong Suction!!!

However, although solo-shower-play was a failure, I am happy to report that dual-play with Hubby was much more successful!!!

That gentle-taper . . . and comfortable length . . . has since provided us (both, if you know what I mean), with some enjoyable stimulating playtime fun. The suction-cup doesn’t stick so easily to the palm of one’s hand, but we found that pushing the plug in gently and slowly by hand is much nicer as the flexible bendiness is easier to control. And that wide tapered base keeps it safely in place, with no danger of it going further than it should!

So after my initial disappointments, my Flexi Plug has actually turned out to be quite fun . . . and I’m sure I will be reaching for it again, perhaps I may even try my shower-fantasy again as well!

The Flexi Plug is manufactured by Pink B.O.B, a company from New Hampshire in America. I’ve not heard of them before, and from their website they seem to have a reasonably small product range, but they do mention on the “About Us” pages that “Women play a large role” in their company, so that is always nice to hear! The Flexi-Plug didn’t include any specific product information, but did come with a small mini-leaflet noting “5 Steps to Have The Best Orgasm Ever” and “5 Kinkiest Sex Positions”, though curiously none of them seem to feature, or require, the Flexi Plug!

Ok I’ll admit it . . . I’m a clit sort of girl, and you probably won’t be surprised when I say that I can get aroused by all sorts of situations and scenarios . . . not to mention all sorts of naughty thoughts and fantasies. But normally it’s having my clit stimulated in someway (oh alright, in anyway!!!) that brings me to the most fulfilling, earth-shaking and shuddering, exhausting, orgasm.

And nothing does that to my clit more powerfully, more completely . . . and more quickly . . . than my Doxy Wand. In fact, very often, it can be “too quickly” . . . and part of the Wand’s delight for me, if I’m using it on my own, is the challenge of teasing and pacing myself in it’s use. Prolonging the sensations, resisting the vibrations, denying it’s power and refusing it’s ultimate, total-control of my senses!

See . . . already, just talking about the Wand has got me pulsing, tingling and vibrating off on a tangent . . . BECAUSE this review is not about the Doxy Wand . . . it is about it’s new sibling the Doxy Skittle!!!

So, let me calm down . . . and start again . . .

Ok, I’ll admit it . . . I’m a clit sort of girl. Sooo . . . I was delighted and enthralled to receive The Doxy Skittle in my post box recently. Delighted because it was from Doxy (oohh shhh! don’t get me started again!!!) and enthralled because I’d not seen, heard, or read anything about it at all, until I opened the parcel!

SkittleUnwrappedAnd there, enticingly packaged in a white glossy box . . . and staring out at me from behind a clear, see-through acetate window, was a surprisingly and intriguingly shaped black object with a curling lead attached to what was obviously it’s push-button controller.

As I slid it’s holding tray from out of the box I could tell straight away that this was completely different from my wand . . . and that the raised and bulbous extension at the top was obviously designed for . . . well, for more than one “entrance point”.

SkittleGripSo, not only a dual-purpose vibrator, but a dual-gender one as well! Because . . . if you haven’t already guessed from looking at the photos here (go on, admit it, you’ve looked already haven’t you?) . . . the Doxy Skittle is a vibrator that can be used either externally or internally and for either clit and vagina OR . . . for one’s bottom and prostate.

As I unwound the Skittle and it’s controller and cord from the box, I was already vibrating and tingling with excitement and intrigue before I’d even plugged it in!!!

Thankfully, like the Doxy Wand, the Skittle is mains powered, so I didn’t have to wait around for it to charge for hours and hours before I could try it. And you know me, I’m petulant and impatient and I just hate waiting . . . so I was delighted to be able to just plug it in and turn it on . . . straight-away!

And first impressions? Well it is quieter than the Wand, much quieter, but still holding it in my hand . . . and I must say the shape does allow one to easily grip and hold it . . . it was obvious that it’s vibrations are still quite powerful. The whole unit actually vibrates and you immediately think, as you push the controller buttons, “how the hell do they get it to rumble and throb so powerfully???”

SkittleHandfulThe extendable-bit . . . (I’m tempted to call it the “finger” but that doesn’t seem the right term for me, so I’ll just call it the “extendage”) wobbles and sort of shifts and twists. I immediately gave it my “nose-test” . . . after all, in my excitement and haste to unpack it and switch it on, I was still fully dressed.

My nose told me that as I push the +plus button (look at the pictures, I’ll get to the technical explanations later once I’ve calmed down again!) the “extendage” wobbles less but vibrates more powerfully, whilst as I (delightfully) squeezed the -minus button, the vibrations decreased but the wobbles became more pronounced.

I impatiently placed the Skittle on my bedside table whilst I quickly disrobed, pausing to note that it could have almost passed for a lovely bedside lamp . . . except of course that it doesn’t glow. That, and the fact that it was still vibrating and slowly moving across the table of it’s own accord!!!

The power cord is quite long (more on that later), so it was really easy for me to collapse back onto the bed and wriggle myself into my favourite “Doxy Do” position . . . and . . .

. . . now, as I’ve already said, I’m a clit-girl and despite my natural inquisitiveness about that extendage, my first instinct was to aim the Skittle at my truly, truly sensitive bit. And yes, it was nice. Quite nice in fact . . . though as I plussed and minussed away on the controller . . . I could sense it wasn’t quite as easy to position or control as my Wand.

I have learnt from later experience though, that the fact that the controller module is about 3 feet of cable away from the Skittle itself is actually a great advantage when playing with a partner, but I did find myself fumbling a bit when trying it out for that first time on my own. But that of course, is just because it was different from the buttons not being attached to the handle of the unit as they are on my Wand.

But anyway . . . that extendage, and the indented shape where it meets the top of the handle . . . soon had me realising that it has several different possibilities as I moved it around and around my lips . . . and then into my vagina.

SkittleTip2ToeIt was at this point that I decided to lift it away again and experiment with the “pulsing setting”. Just like the Wand, if you turn-off the power and then hold down that button for a few seconds, the Skittle will start-up again in a pulsing mode. So that wobbling and shifting and twisting will vary in motion and power and, I suppose, in intensity. And then start it’s pulsing-cycle again. Actually for me, although it is of course very clever, I found this setting to be more distracting and less enjoyable. But, returning it to the standard vibrations, I was soon swooning again as I twisted and pushed that wobbly, knobbly bit between my lips and held the curved nub of the unit against me. If you look closely at the pictures you will see the curved bit I’m talking about, and I could certainly feel it’s vibrations as I rubbed it against me whilst slowly pushing and probing with the extendage.

So . . . and remember that I was trying this on my own initially . . . leaving it on it’s vibrating setting, I then decided to experiment with that dual-purpose, secondary “entrance point”.

Now I have to be in a certain mood for anal play . . . and usually it is much, much easier when it just seems to happen spontaneously and naturally . . . and usually only when I’m in company. It’s not something I normally do when I’m alone. So possibly for that reason, and possibly because I couldn’t seem to find the right position, or way to hold onto the Skittle, and reach for and operate the buttons, I quickly lost my concentration . . . and my desire . . . resigning myself to revisit that situation when I would be accompanied by a companion. And, of course, very often when one is trying too hard to do something, the motivation or inspiration is all wrong anyway . . .

. . . but a few hours later (see I told you I was impatient!) . . . and on several occasions since, Hubby and I have experimented further and with a little more success. But whether because the extendage shape, or length, isn’t exactly right for either of us, or because the size of the handle makes the positioning difficult to achieve, the Skittle as an anal massager, hasn’t quite worked consistently for us. (Though it was great fun, and certainly a very interesting sight, making him sit down onto it as I held it beneath him . . . and NO, there are no pictures . . . well not here in this review at least!)

So . . . how does it compare with the Wand Massager you will, naturally ask, especially as it is a Doxy product after all?

Well, nothing can compare with the Wand of course . . . for sheer power, immediacy and ease-of-use, I suppose any other Doxy product will be forever in the Wand’s shadow. But the Skittle is fun and different . . . and certainly much quieter (so you could probably use comfortably with friends and family sleeping blissfully down the hall, instead of knocking on your bedroom door asking why you are putting-up shelving or assembling a wardobe in the middle of the night!)

And actually, you know what I think the main difference for me between the Wand and the Skittle is??? Well, I find the Skittle is much more fun to use during couple-play . . . fun and different, and leading to more adventurous play and situations. Whereas the Wand is more of a “this is all about me, give it here, it’s mine!!!” solo sort of experience. Well that’s how I’ve found it to be anyway.

So for those of you who find anal and prostate-play hugely satisfying and enjoyable, or for introducing some naughty fun into your playtime with your favourite lover, then I’m sure The Skittle would be a welcome addition to your Toy Drawer!!!
