October Breast Cancer Awareness

I usually set-out to make all of my posts here rather frivolous and silly . . . just to try to spread a little fun and laughter!

But this month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, marked all over the world by campaigns involving millions of people and thousands of organisations, highlighting the importance of breast awareness, education and research.

We’ve all had family, friends and colleagues affected by cancer and I support several UK charities whose work is so important, and so helpful in many ways, to people suffering with this disease.

For obvious reasons I’m not adding any specific links to those charities here . . . but I urge you all to seek them out and offer your support in any way you can.

I’m sure Hyacinth won’t mind me mentioning this here at today’s
Boobday Friday, because as she says . . .

Boobday is a body-positive meme where women share images of their bodies in order to show that there is beauty in all of us.  With confidence comes power and with power comes confidence.
