Whenever I am asked to choose my favourite flower there is no question it will always be a Rose! And of course my favourite Rose Garden of all, is the one here in The Regent’s Park.
Apparently they have over 12,000 varieties planted here . . . and I often pause on my morning stroll on my way to the office, to browse and soak up the wonderful smells and colours as I wander through the gardens. Just as the lady behind me is as well.
Of course I love the whole idea of the roses themselves . . . sweetly scented, colourful and vibrant, yet slightly prickly and thorny at the same time.
Much like . . . well, you know???
And, if I had to choose my favourite? Well, it just has to be the “Pride of England” . . . it couldn’t possibly be any other could it? My favourite colour and, as you can see, I just love it’s lovely scent.
All of the scents in these gardens are so lovely to experience . . . it makes one feel so peaceful and relaxed of a morning . . . I often wish I could just stand here all day and not have to carry on into work at all!!!
